    In dual channel I have established 667 stable at;
    Stock speed (266 x 9.5, 2.53 GHz)
    FSB 266
    SMM 2.5A (667)
    Mem timings 4-4-4-12-tRD 5
    Vcore 1.05V
    Ram 1.84V.

    and also stable

    Stock speed (333 x 7.5, 2.50GHz)
    FSB 333
    SMM 2.0B (667)
    Mem timings 5-5-5-18-tRD 9 (tRD 8 = BSOD)
Vcore 1.06...V (2 clicks up from default)
    Ram 1.86V.

With my FSB 333 settings, to over clock should it be a case of raising Vcore and the CPU multiplier? or will I have to add to any timings/ or voltages i.e. RAM?

Is it normal to suffer a difference from 5 to 9 tRD for an increase from FSB 266 to 333? (or is this my vaule ram?)

See what your system chooses for tRD with the following settings:
    Performance Enhance = Turbo
    Static tRead Value = Auto

With 333MHz tRD = 6 should be stable.
tRD = 9 might be selected by the bios as very a conservative setting when Performance Enhance = Standard is used.

If you try to boot with tRD set too low, your system will probably reset to "safe" settings at stock speeds with loose memory settings.

**edit** It's possible that some of the memory timings (primary and/or advanced) are too tight, causing the BSOD.
Are you running with two modules in single channel mode?

Vcore will probably do. CPU speed has only minor effect on memory performance.

tRD value is dictated by memory speed bus speed and timings(CAS).
Might be the value ram, for DDR-800 4-4-4-12 @ 333 FSB I have it on 5(I think).
Maybe if you can set CAS 4 you'd be able to use 8 or 7.

My recent testing has been in dual channel config.

My system selects a tRD value of 7 after turbo/tRD Auto settings are applied.

At 333 i initially set my timings to 5-5-5-18 & tRD to 6 which resulted in a BSOD. I upped Vcore from 1.0625 to 1.1V, still BSOD. Left Vcore at 1.1v and upped tRD to 7 - BSOD, 8 - BSOD, tRD 9 - no BSOD. Backed off Vcore to 1.0625 no BSOD.

    I tried
    333 x 9.0, (3.00GHz)
    FSB 333
    SMM 2.0B (667)
    Mem timings 5-5-5-18-tRD 9 (and 10)
    Vcore 1.20 V
    Ram 1.90V

Both test passed IBT (5 pass, max) but suffered system freeze on prime blend after approx 2 hrs. ( 1 just under then just over).

Note that a high profile memory may limit aftermarket HSF choices if you ever decide to buy one.

    just purchased some new ram.

    G Skill F2-8500CL5D-4GPK.

I can not get my system stable with this RAM (at any speed) :(

    Can anyone help?

Checked both sticks with memset86+ individually?
Optimized defaults, Performance Enhance standard, XMP disabled, for a start, then XMP profile1(or profile2 what ever is there).
What MCH settings have you tried?

Checked each stick individually at the following
    667 MHz 1 pass memtest86+ (ea stick)
800 MHz Prime system freeze again ( didnt try memtest86+)
1066 MHzpost/ constant reset issues and when it did boot to memtest86 errors straight away.

Dual ch. is totally unstable ( currently using old ram )

Have disabled XMP ( this changed my default timings to 6-7-7-20 ...i think or close to that) I set these to 5-5-5-15.

Tried MCH 1.05 (and 1.1,1.2 and 1.24) no luck.

Set DRAM to 2.0 and 2.1 ( 2.1 shoes up pink in BIOS?)

    Any ideas??

    Is Performance Enhance standard?
Set XMP to profile1, won't do no harm wether you set timings manually or leave them on auto.
