    Thanks profJim

    Chike i tried Ram 800@333 (333 x2.4) system freeze after 20min, retest freeze :(

Ram @ 667@333 (333x2B) and auto mem settings prime stable >10hrs.

At leat you tried and you know.

What CPU speed you running, and are Prime95 temps OK?

    Hi Chike,

Exactly, at least I know. happy to try any (most) suggestions. Tried FSB of 333 with cpu at 7.5 (2.5Ghz) no o/c slightly under stock. Still tinkering with RAM speeds. Am I better to use single ch. @ 800 or dual ch. @ 667.

    I haven't tried to o/c yet.....bit short of time... need a 28 Hr day :)

What voltage would be best to start with, I believe my 7200 max is 1.36. Is 1.25v reasonable with my stock HSF aiming for 3 Ghz (9 x 333) or am i better to start at 1.3 and lower until reach stability issues?

Thanks again for all the help :)

Try both DDR-667 dual-channel and DDR-800 single with the lowest Static tread possible for each, and run some memory benchmark to see what give better performance.
Might be that DDT-800 is not possible even in single-channel mode with 2 sticks?

At 3.16GHz my vcore is set 1.19375v in BIOS, you will probably need the same or 1-2 ticks less.
Try and see what core temps Prime95 small FFT give, I think the stock HSF will hold, if not than 3GHz.

    What memory benchmark is good?

Single Channel 2x2G @ is prime stable for 24hrs, would this be different for mem benchmark?

Non is LOL You won't find two that agree on the numbers.
But they are all good to show difference in performance, so pick your favorite.
I use MaxxMEMē - PreView because it is free and light wait.

    Thanks,

How long should I run the small FFT for?

If just to see max temperatures than 15 minutes will do.
