Looks fine to me. As long as Prime passes no problem then no point tinkering more with a profile yopu'll hardly use. I'd call it good for stock, save the profile, back it up to USB in case you flash the BIOS and then start your OC.

When you start your OC you'll want to re-work all those RAM settings etc any way. tRead will be the first casualty, and need raising at maybe 280-290 FSB. The sensible choice would be to slap the FSB up to 333 * 9.5 first, setting up your RAM to run at 1066 via changing the SMM. tRead will have to be probably 7, maybe higher, or you could get lucky and be OK at 6. Setting the advanced timings to the highest in the range you have listed in the profile would be a good idea too and save you hassle later.

Prime95 stable for 24hrs in Dual ch at the RAM rated spec (DDR2-800) :) I have saved my settings (bios F11, i will look into saving to USB also)

Thanks heaps everyone, nearly gave up a few times.

Now time to try to o/c. hope my value ram and stock intel HSF dont cause too much trouble.

Yes some of the settings have an offset from BIOS, explained in http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/memo...vs-bios-27283/

First thing to do is to set CPU Vcore/Termination/PLL/ICH I/O manually to their default value.
I'd start with 333FSB and CPU Ratio 7.5(slight underclock no vcore change needed,) or 8 (slight overclock, may need more vcore,) set the appropriate memory mulriplier for DDR-800 for 333FSB, and verify that memory settings are still valid (higher tRD is probably needed,) then it should be CPU Ratio and Vcore up to 3.16GHz or as high as temps allow.

Ran Prime 95 small fft for 30 mins (screen shots after 15m):

Then ran prime blend and suffered system freeze after 1hr :(

(Note: 1st tried 333@7.5 and 2.4B, but only ran prime for 55mins and stopped to o/c)

Also my temps are of concern.

    any ideas....

Which FFT was it that froze you remember?
Prheps a notch higher on memory voltage, perheps 2-4 more on tRFC?
Idle temps are fine but prime are high, would not tell you to run IBT, it may result in 10-15c higher temos.
CPU Heatsink is seated properly? Never been removed?

Sounds good, I will give it a go....

Yeah, I will not be running IBT at this stage. Heatsink has the pre-applied thermal paste pad. It has never been removed. How do the stock load temps look?

It have has a long time since I have used the stock cooler, but i recall ~50c cpu temps (not core temps) with Prime95 at stock settings and ambiant temp of ~20c, so they may be just right.

99.99% sure it is seated correctly, (bit tricky to install). I also had it checked at build to ensure it was seated correctly.

Everest showed my CPU temp at 43.C during prime blend.

**Edit** at stock speed temps between small FFT and blend are the same and temps at o/c were similar in blend to small fft when i had system freeze blend only about 2.c less 66-67.C.
