    Default HELP!!! Pentium d 950 and ud3p does not boot

    tried new memory,but nothing. lights are on, on the board, but don't get to gigabyte screen. any ideas out there??????????????

    Same board you had the OCed Q9650 in?

    My friend is in middle of this build and I trying to help him over the phone. MY ud3p and 9650 are still playing nice.

    I'd start with clearing CMOS. What revision is the board? Any idea what BIOS version?
    Have any other CPU you can.

    update. thanks for the advice chike. i got my friend to scrap that build and go with newer e7500 with the ud3p and everything went great.

    Pentium D 950 was not supported until BIOS F5, so this was likely the issue. If he could have updated the BIOS with another CPU he could use the 950.

    Just FYI for anyone reading later on, as I see you now are using 7500
