    Unhappy Cm2x1024-8500c5d

Please can someone help me.My set up is a Gigabyte GA-MA790FX-DQ6 motherboard,2x 1 gig of CM2X1024-8500C5D and a 9600gt Nvidia graphics card running Vista 64 bit Ultimate Edition.I have tried so hard to to get this memory to run at 1066.The memory clock timing is 5-5-5-15.When i manually adjust settings in bios my pc just reboots.I have the latest bios and i also up the ddr voltage to 2.1 volts. My CPU is a Phenom x4 9850.Today i have fixed the problem.i have altered the clock timing of the memory to 5-7-7-20 & raised the DDR voltage to 2.1.Also i have raised the Memory Controller voltage slightly. Thanks to everyone who as emailed me!!

Does that CPU Support 1066Mhz memory? Sorry I know very little about AMD, but I do know the CPU must support it

You may need to adjust your NB/Memory controller voltage a little as well.

Also, be sure you are using the latest BIOS.
    GIGABYTE - Support&Download - Motherboard - BIOS - GA-MA790FX-DQ6 (rev. 1.0)

And please use Qflash to update, NOT @BIOS, here is a guide >>

K, then sounds like you need to get your NB and CPU NB VID settings set correctly, you may also need to adjust HT link settings as well.

Sorry I do not use AMD so I am not the best one to reply about these things. I did just try to help another member along with similar issues here, maybe you could PM him and see what he suggests that got it working for him. >>

That or Pm the member I mentioned to him, artdrivers, he is our AMD helper here
