i'm that close to kick the computer back to the store !
having MB of gigabyte MA-770-UD3 rev 2
    with AMD phenom II AM3 x4 955
    i can't set my memory G.Skill 8500CL5D to work in 1066Mhz
    i set up the following:
    1. updated the bios to the latest version FBd
    2. set the following settings in the bios:
    mem clock - 5.33x 1066Mhz
    DCT Mode - Unganged
    DRAM Voltage - 2.1v
    timing - manualy 5-5-5-15

    and got this:
    1. while trying to load my OS it restarts while start loading the logo
    2. while trying to re-install Windows: copies files and then gives me blue screen

    plz guys help
it works ok for 800Mhz ofcours...

    thanks for the reply
    well it seems it supports

Types of Memory Supported: Unregistered DIMMs up to PC2-8500 (DDR2-1066MHz) -AND- PC3-10600 (DDR3-1333MHz)

    any more ideas ?

Ok, I was just checking. Hopefully our AMD helper will stop in soon to help you further

I can say you should be using Ganaged mode for dual channel, and have the memory in the correct slots for that which would be DDR2 1+2 or DDR2 2+4

Then you may need to raise CPU NB VID and Northbridge voltages as well as possibly the NB Freq too.

    Is this 2GB or 4GB

    it's 2x2GB of RAM
i put them in same channel but Unganged mode
i didnt change the CPU NB VID, Northbridge voltages and the NB Freq ... u know the correct values ?

Please set Ganged, for NB VID and NB, no I am not sure. That is something you have to adjust and test yourself, just try more of each until you find something that is working.

almost got it ! the windows almost loaded successfully but then blue screen again
i post the bios settings i'v made
    CPU clock ration = Auto
    CPU NB Freq = Auto
CPU Host clock control = Auto
    HT link width = auto
    HT link freq = auto

    Memory Clock = 1066Mhz
    DRAM Voltage control = 2.1v
    timings = 5-5-5-15
    ganged

    System Voltage Control = Manual
CPU NB VID Control = Normal
    CPU Voltage Control = Normal
    (normal cpu Vcore = 1.35v)
    NB Voltage control = 1.2v

    what do u think ?

Sorry, again I do not use AMD so not sure. I do think you may need more NB Voltage control, and to for sure add some CPU NB VID.

You may need to mess with HT link settings or NB Freq too, just not sure. Hopefully artdrivers will come by soon to help you. If you do not see him soon drop him a PM I am sure he will come and help further

Nice, I was about to see if artdriver could come and reply to help you out if you still had not had any luck yet

Mind posting your new settings in case someone looks this up later, thanks!
