As I said above, I have four sticks. Any of the four can run individually (2Gb), in any of the four slots. Also, any two sticks (4Gb) can run in either the red slots or the yellow slots. My problem is that I cannot run MORE than 2 sticks at a time. I have even set the bios to Optimum Defaults AND Fail Safe defaults. Still can't run 4 sticks.?????????

You said setting MCH Core over 1.2 does not tun, do you mean it does not post?
Was the 1.2v MCH Core necessary to get 2x2GB configuration to work, and have you tried less than default MCH Core?

EDIT: btw advanced timings are set manually or auto?

MCH and ICH were increased because it was suggested here and on the G Skill forum.

Does not run means it doesn't post, just beeps at me.

    Read my bios.txt file.

I'm about to just concede that I will have to settle for 2Gb of memory. I am really disappointed with Gigabyte for advertising capabilities they can not produce. If they had been straightforward I may have bought another brand of board this time but would have still had a good feeling toward them as a brand. This won't be my last computer to build. It may be my last Gigabyte board though.

    I have read your bios.txt.
    No need to change ICH.

Some users had to use less than default MCH Core so I recommend you give it a go.

Memory incompatibilities is a known issue, that is why thet have QVLs for both board and the memory.
There are users on this board that use 8GB memory configurations, and even more.

I guess I could try reducing them. Raising it hasn't helped.

I know LOTS of folks are running 8Gb and more. That's what's so frustrating.

I saw some mention in another thread about some special way to clear the CMOS. Could someone either explain it or leave a link so I can find it. Thanks.

My problem arises when I try to install MORE than two sticks. The system runs just fine with 4 Gb installed but will not run with 6 or 8Gb. No way, no how. I have tried BIOS settings from the G Skill forum and from this site. I have attached my BIOS setup. Please, someone has to have an answer. Thanks.
I have run 8gb 800mhz optimized defaults dram @ 1.8v mch core @ 1.100v. passed 24hrs memtest86+ 4.00. Running 8gb @ 1066 would be very hard. At that speed it sounds like you need at least 1.28+ mch 0.740 mch reference.
