    Default Boot Issues

I'm hoping there might be some remedy for this. I have a Q9450 and 8GB Corsair DDR2 memory installed on a EP45-DS3R board. The 9450 is overclocked to 3.4GHz. Periodically, when I start my computer it fails to boot and reverts back to stock values. I manually enter the BIOS, see the error message that a voltage or something is at fault, hit F10, and it usually boots back up just fine. Once running, everything is good. This is just an annoyance is all. I'm not sure what is going on right when I hit the start button that is causing this occasional fault. It seems to happen more frequently when the weather (and room) are cold. Thoughts or advice to reduce?

According to the web site they were rated at 5-5-5-15. They are Corsair Dominator. I have the voltage at 2.14V.

Please grab a template from my signature and give us your full specs and current settings, then we can better advise you.

For 8GB you need to make several changes that you have not made, auto is just not going to work as you are seeing.

Your 5-7-7-24 primary memory timings are the default values set by the bios when it couldn't boot with your bios settings.
You used the wrong bios template (x58 version).
Use the generic EP4x bios template from this post.
    Include a screen-shot that displays:
Memset using the SPD and ">>" tabs
cpu-z CPU and Mainboard screens (several instances can be run at the same time)
EasyTune6 --> TUNER tab --> ADVANCE tab --> VOLTAGE tab (only the Voltage tab is needed)
CoreTemp screen [for your cpu's VID (Voltage ID)]

Links for these programs are in the Latest Overclocking Programs, System Info, Benchmarking, & Stability Tools thread.
