Default P55-UD3 Boots up but shuts off..

Hi guys. I have always been building my own PC and this time is just not as easy as it used to be.

    I got
    Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3
    intel i5,
    2x 4gb Corsair 1600 9-9-9-24 1.65v version 5.2
    XFX GTX-260

Since the beginning I only had 1 succesful boot up and I managed to install windows 7 on a 1TB sata hdd. but that took me quite a while before I got lucky. After I installed windows 7 on it I shut it down and went to work, came home and booted it up the same problem came back again...

Sometimes it only stays on a few seconds and it shuts down
Sometimes it stays on long enough I could see bios OSD and it shuts down
Sometimes it stays on even longer it says "Loading Operative System..." and it shuts down

Now I can´t even make it to press DEL to enter Bios setup before it shuts down. And no I havent changed anything in Bios Setup.

Do you guys have any idea what I am doing wrong? I tried and only have 1 block of memory on different slot but no luck. Even tried to pull off every connector from the MB except atx power, pwr sw, etc.

I am about to go crazy so please help this probably is my last way out :)

Thank you very much in advance

    Joey

You will probably need to clear your CMOS and try to boot with a minimal hardware setup.
Follow the procedure from the BIOS Flashing - A "How To ~ Qflash Guide" thread. Clearing the CMOS is covered in the 2nd post.
You should try booting with only one memory module in slot #1.
Once you can enter the bios, you need to load OPTIMIZED bios settings and then save settings and exit. Then you need to re-enter the bios and make sure that the DRAM voltage is properly set. There are probably a few other bios settings that will need to be set before you can use both memory modules (8GB total).

Check out this post for performing a minimalist hardware boot.
Follow the suggestions in this thread for adding a detailed hardware list to your forum signature and include a link to the specifications for your memory from the manufacturer's website.

    Good luck!

try re-seating your cpu heatsink too,if its not on propperly cpu will overheat and it will go into a thermal shutdown and loop, look on the onboard led clock if everythings ok it will show ff,if its a ram problem it will show c1,also only install the ram in the white slots

    Hi

I tried everying you guys suggested... minimal hardware, reseated the cpu heatsink.

@profJim: I cant get into bios setup to config or flash bios. It shuts down after Bios OSD is showed for a few seconds. I did spam DEL/F12/Q etc but they wont take me anywhere before it shuts down. I did reset CMOS but it shuts down before I could select any bios setting profile.

Here is the complete list of the parts:

    **Cooler Master HAF 932 Big Tower Black Fans: 1x 230mm Front, 1x 230mm Top, 1x 230mm Side, 1x 140mm Rear, Re

    **Chieftec Super Series PSU 650W Modular 80 Plus, 140mm Fan, 4x SATA, 1x 6 pin PCIe, 1x 8 (6+2) pin PCIe

    **Intel Core™ i5 Quad Processor i5-750 2,66GHz, Socket LGA1156, 8MB, Boxed

    **Corsair XMS3 DDR3 1600MHz 4GB CL9 Kit w/2x 2GB XMS3 modules, CL9-9-9-24, for Core i5 and i7, 1.65V, Intel XMP

    **Gigabyte GA-P55-UD3, P55, Socket-1156 4xDDR3, ATX, GbLAN, 4phase power, PCI-Ex(2.0)x16

    **XFX GeForce GTX 260 666M 896MB PhysX PCI-Express 2.0, "BLACK", 2xDVI, HDCP, 55nm, 666/2000MHz

    **Seagate BarracudaŽ 7200.12 1TB SATA 3.0Gb/s, 32MB, 7200RPM

What I think is funny is that I did manage to install win7 on it but it was when I could press F12 to boot with DVD..

Have you tried removing your motherboard from the computer case and booting with a minimal hardware setup?
Can you borrow another psu to test with?
Can you test with a different brand/model/size of memory?
Do you have a cpu case speaker hooked up to your motherboard?

On rare occasions, their are compatibility problems with a mobo and the psu.
This can happen with brand new components, even if the psu works fine with a different mobo.
