Default EP45-UD3L will not post all of a sudden

    Hey all.

Bought a EP45-UD3L about 2 months ago to replace my crappy 680i board that died. Last night I accidently bumped my desk which has my tower on it and my computer froze. No biggie I thought, boy was I wrong.

After that computer would not post. Everytime I would turn it on it fans would spin like normal and then 2-10 seconds later it would turn off and start up again. It would never get into bios.

    Specs
    q6600
    4 gigs DDR2
    EP45-UD3L
    8800gt
    Corsair 750 watt PS

I tried everything. Reseting bios, taking battery out of BIOS for 8 hours. Unplugging everything... I even took the motherboard out of the Case and have it set on a phonebook with only the Motherboard, CPU, Ram and videocard plugged in and same god dam thing.

Any ideas? Do not have the parts to try to isolate problem. Thinking MB or Powersupply possibly?

Try to turn the PSU off for 20-30 seconds and power up again, if you can get to BIOS reload optimized defaults and apply any changes you have made before.

Check all power, front pannel, and hard drive connections, see that RAM and video card are seated properly.

Try to clear CMOS as explained in the second part of this post.

Did all of that. Everything is seated. Will not post to get into Bios.

Have no front panel connection, using screwdriver to boot by touching the power switch pins. No harddrive connected. Motherboard is outside case so no shorts :(

    Including long CMOS clear?
Can't think anything can go wrong with the processor but worth checking the socket.
    How bad was the bunp?

Not bad at all. Socket looks fine.

I bumped it before and it froze same thing. Taking battery out for a while fixed it.

Yah long CMOS clear. It is weird sometimes when I start it, it will turn off right away after 1-2 seconds, then other times it stays on and turns off after 10 seconds.
