Unfortunately due to an unexpected vet bill we aren't able to go with a lynnfeild build. With Christmas right around the corner we decided to postpone it until some time next year.
The wife still needs a computer in the mean time. Luckily a freind of mine was kind enough to give me an old AMD 4200+ processor. I know it's not very fast but considering it's replacing a P4 1.9 GHz CPU that she was content with it should get the job done for now.
The only thing I had to buy was a new motherboard, I went with a Gigabyte MA-785GM-US2H for $79. It's nothing special but it'll get the job done.

The extra voltage on the USB is actually a good thing, as it turns out using Eyefinity (HD5870) one monitor (if it's not Displayport capable) uses an adaptor for Displayport to DVI and it gets it power from a USB port, many ppl were experiencing problems if they all ready had other devices requiring power from USB, causing monitor to blank out.
