Default What happend to all the Gigabyte X58 mobo's?

I'm looking for a UD4P but the only Gigabyte mobo's I can find are the UD3R and the UD5. A couple months ago there were half a dozen Gigabyte X58 boards to choose from. Is Gigabyte about to release new X58 boards or are they more interested in selling mainstream P55's?

Yes, as wazza says, they're probably selling their stock through to make way for the new boards including the new UD7.

I'd hang on a little before pushing the button on a UD7. If it turns out they over clock better than the current top of the line then go for it. I was a bit puzzled by what the fuss was about with the UD7.

It's just like the other X58's except it has USB 3.0, SATA 6G, 4 PCIE (2 16X and 2 more 16x size slots with half the pins missing making them max 8x) that are too close together for anything but water cooling, a water block for a NB heatsink that will be replaced by almost anyone watercooling etc etc. Not all that inspiring.

One of the main features they're trying to push is that they've increased both the amount of power that a USB 2.0 and USB 3.0 slot can provide. Sounds good, but all USB devices are designed to draw the original amount of power in the specs of USB 2.0/3.0. There will be no devices that need this power boost, and if they were they'd only work on this board. Insane.

Maybe Peter is doing another separate build. From the looks of his signature he has a mighty fine OC going on. The board surely can't be to try and push the CPU further, as much more frequency would probably need water cooling to keep the heat under control.

My wife needs a computer and we were going to go with another core i7 920 PC, but we decided to save some money and go with an AMD build. I really feel stupid for giving my nephew my C0, I could of built another 1366 machine if I hadn't.
I was looking at newegg and they only have 2 Gigabyte EX58 models compared to 9 P-55 models. I thought that was kind of odd considering they had 5 or 6 a few months ago.
I'm really happy with the UD3R, I beleive it's the best budget 1366 board. My nephew went with an Asrock extreme because it had great reviews, but the Gigabyte has much better build quality and much better BIOS. I'm going to stick with this setup atleast until 6 core processors become affordable (under$400) and that may be a long time.

Hmmm, that never occurred to me. MC does have the i5 for $149 and 1156 motherboards are much cheaper than the 1366 motherboards. I think I will go with another Intel build.
