    BIOS is F12.
F13j is a BETA and only addresses two things that are not memory related.

Gigabyte tends to not include a FULL list of fixes or tweaks. There very well could be changes to memory related stuff but not significant enough to note about it.

You info is nice but i dont see any mention of adjusting QPI/VTT voltage? Not enough voltage could make the system not work with 3 memory sticks installed.

    Hi,
I left them at default as I was not over-clocking the system in any way and therefore assumed I had nothing to compensate for.
Also in the Info I posted I stated that, (in the triple channel section), when they are Tested by Address chunks the only problem is at the 4096MB to 4100MB section.
    ie At the 4GB Boundary.

This is the same irrespective of the order the DIMM's are inserted.

Also the overwriting of the Video Screen is a major clue to it not being the RAM drive levels at issue.
Thanks for replying to this old post, this porblem has tied me up all day!

I have just read up on QPI to Vdimm voltage difference.
My QPI is 1.175v and the Vdimm is 1.50v
Vdimm-QPI = 0.325v This is close to optimal according to a posting I read.

I will try to increase QPI to 1.2v giving a difference of 0.3v.

    Hi,
I changed the QPI from 1.175v to 1.195 and a warning LED on the Mobo went out.
I then experimented with different voltages and clock speeds. Nothing worked.

Wow, I finally found out what was wrong!
It was me, I was running v3.5 of Memtest86+, when I ran v4.20 it PASSED all Modules.
It always pays to run the latest version of a Diagnostic.
My theory is that this latest version can handle the cards being at the 4GB boundary.
It does report a 4KB Reserved Memory.

Appologies to everyone who tried to help, most of these posts as they are dated 2009 would have been running the same version. Sigh.

At least I am now runing QPI correctly resulting in no warning LED! Thanks for that!

if you are still continue to have problems or any other problems please start a new post.

As to the this thread yes Always use the latest software specially with hardware stuff newer cpus and motherboard compatibility and other stuff.

Rule is QPI/VTT voltage must be no less then 0.5v from vdimm so if vdimm is set to 1.6 then qpi/vtt must be 1.1 or higher.
Uncore must be 2x memory multi or higher. So using memory multi 10x uncore must be 20x or higher.
Not all stock memory will run correctly with stock qpi/vtt volt as this controls the memory controller that is built into the cpu.
Also running higher Uncore will require higher qpi/vtt voltage.
Increase bclk to get memory closer to speed you will have to increase qpi/vtt.
