    Qt what speed does the memory run and what does PC Health report for ram voltage?
    Bad ram settings may cause corruption.
    With one memory stick load optimized defaults, Set Performance Enhance to Standard and XMP(if you have it) Disabled, nothing more.
    Tell us how it goes.

    Are you using optimized defaults or have you loaded fail safe in the past and not loaded optimized since then?

    Wow I just had a hell of a time getting it booted. I got 1gig going then put the other stick back in and got a BSOD with page file error. Then on reboot it would not make it to POST. took the 2nd stick out, rebooted, got to desktop and PC froze. rebooted and got pre-POST cycle. Cleared the CMOS and have got it booted again. Have no Idea what bios settings I have up.. This blows

    Load optimized defaults, and save and apply/reboot back to the BIOS. Then set your ram voltage and change performance enhance to standard. That should get you started

    Ok I did all that- then uninstalled all the NVIDIA drivers, used cccleaner again to remove reg files. Put the 4890 in, used both 6pin plugs, made sure it was seated right, only had monitor and power running to the board, and it went straight into the post BIOS cycle. F&^K.

    I put the 9600 back in and it did the same thing. I had to clear the CMOS again, and It booted. went into BIOS and set it to Optimsed defaults, set voltage to 2.10 and left everything on auto. Did a sys restore to install all Nvidia drivers again, and Its back working fine.

    Is it the card ? I got it to load to desktop on another machine, but never really tested it out..

    Ideas please, this Sux having a new card and not being able to use it!

    1 important thing that you havn't supplied and no one has asked for yet is, what PSU are you using (make and model)?

    Might gives a whirl and see wot happens... Also use both sticks of memory. And last but not lease I assume you loaded optimized defaults, saved, applied and rebooted back into and set your bios up as you require and apply and save the below settings. Also would you mind putting your system specs in your signature?

    Code:
    CPU = Model E8500
    Motherboard = Model, Revision EP45-DS3 rev1.0
    BIOS Version =F6
    Ram = Corsair Dominator XMS2-8500 1066mhz 5-5-5-15 2.10v
