glad to see your system running stable

hmm, seems like there's a lot of cases of "white slots are better then blue slots" for this mobo. i wonder what's the source of this problem...

btw, my system is still stable, no crashes or bsod so far... so i guess i'm good now

Did you try setting cpu core voltage up to AMD's maximum voltage specifications?

you mean this one : Voltages 0.875-1.5V

would this make the blue slots work ?

i'm using these settings now :
    - put the sticks on the white slots (slot 3 & slot 4)
    - Set DRAM Timings to CL 9-9-9-20 (CAS-TRCD-TRP-TRAS)
    - trc to 30
    - Set Command Rate to {2T}
    - Set DRAM Voltage to { 1.7 volts} -> raising it a bit from the default
    - Set CPU / NB VID control to {1.3 volts} -> raising it a bit from the default

seems to be okay, haven't seen a bluescreen in the last 2 days.
    my questions :
    1. is it safe to raise the dram voltage from the recomended (1.65 volts) to 1.7 volts ?
    2. is it safe to raise the cpu/nb vid control to dram voltage from the default to 1.3 volts ?

in the bios, gigabyte keeps on warning me that i may damaged or shorten the age of the ram if raising the voltage settings... >.<

No problem if heat is not an issue.
Gigabyte does this for those who do not monitor the temperatures.Gigabyte wrote that into BIOS for they won't be responsible for someones insufficient cpu and system cooling.. You will be fine if you monitor the temperatures, or go into Bios PC health and set temperature warnings. Change Smart fan control if cpu temps are higher than 62°C. TAKE A LOOK HERE----> AMD Processors for Desktops: AMD Phenom™, AMD Athlon™ FX, AMD Athlon™ X2 Dual-Core, AMD Athlon™, and AMD Sempron™ Processor
    Code:
    PC Health Status
    Reset Case Open Status [Disabled]
    Case Opened No
    Vcore 1.376V
    DDR3 1.5V 1.536V
    +3.3V 3.328V
    +12V 12.112V
    Current System Temperature 30oC
    Current CPU Temperature 47oC
Current CPU FAN Speed 3375 RPM
Current SYSTEM FAN1 Speed 0 RPM
Current SYSTEM FAN2 Speed 0 RPM
Current POWER FAN Speed 0 RPM
    CPU Warning Temperature [enable 60oC/140oF]
    CPU FAN Fail Warning [enable]
    SYSTEM FAN1 Fail Warning [enable]
    SYSTEM FAN2 Fail Warning [enable]
    POWER FAN Fail Warning [enable]
CPU Smart FAN Control[Disabled Allows fan to run full speed all the time]
    CPU Smart FAN Mode [Auto]
    System Smart FAN Control [Disabled]
This will give you a general idea of what you may want to try. Keep in mind this is if you are using the CPU and system fan header on the motherboard.
    Current Voltage(V) Vcore/DDR3 1.5V/+3.3V/+12V
    Displays the current system voltages.
    Current System/CPU Temperature
    Displays current system/CPU temperature.
    Current CPU/SYSTEM/POWER FAN Speed (RPM)
    Displays current CPU/system/power fan speed.
    CPU Warning Temperature
Sets the warning threshold for CPU temperature. When CPU temperature exceeds the threshold,
BIOS will emit warning sound. Options are: Disabled (default), 60oC/140oF, 70oC/158oF, 80oC/
    176oF, 90oC/194oF.
    CPU/SYSTEM/POWER FAN Fail Warning
Allows the system to emit warning sound if the CPU/system/power fan is not connected or fails.
Check the fan condition or fan connection when this occurs. (Default: Disabled)
    CPU Smart FAN Control
Enables or disables the CPU fan speed control function. Enabled allows the CPU fan to run at
different speed according to the CPU temperature. You can adjust the fan speed with EasyTune
based on system requirements. If disabled, CPU fan runs at full speed. (Default: Enabled)
    CPU Smart FAN Mode
Specifies how to control CPU fan speed. This item is configurable only if CPU Smart FAN
    Control is set to Enabled.
Auto Lets BIOS autodetect the type of CPU fan installed and sets the optimal CPUfan control mode. (Default)
Voltage Sets Voltage mode for a 3-pin CPU fan.
PWM Sets PWM mode for a 4-pin CPU fan.
    System Smart FAN Control
Enables or disables the system fan speed control function. Enabled allows the system fan to run
at different speed according to the system temperature. You can adjust the fan speed with EasyTune
based on system requirements. If disabled, system fan runs at full speed. (Default: Enabled)

    seems to be stable...

only 1 bsod happened, and that is during shut down...

before that, the system passed 4 hours of the latest everest stability test

how do i know that my ram is the problem besides using memtest ? couse memtest takes way too long just to test 1 stick... 7-12 hours ?!

my system passed 4 hours of the latest everest stability test...

so does that mean everest stability test doesn't mean a thing ?
