Have reseated CPU, RAM and GPU

    Removed all but one DIMM

Removed board from case and ran on non-conductive bench with minimal config.

Stepped through CPU, RAM and GPU

Very broken... so sad.. loved this thing.. and it's a month old

code 8b in the manual which is "invoke all is adapter roms/invoke all pci roms exept vga" was it working before? have you cleared cmos by pressing rear button with pc powered down? also try removing motherboard battery and leavve out overnight...and power down pc turn off at the wall all the time holding down the front pc power button and hold for 20seconds then re-boot

Lsdmeasap will be here later on today. If you like you could PM him.

He may be able to chase your RMA using any contacts he has at Gigabyte. Bear in mind though that he is not a member of Gigabyte staff as such. It would be a good idea to also chase up Gigabyte tech support via the same web form you used to contact them the original time. If you use the reply function rather than send a separate message they will see the last correspondence and know right away what you are referring to. As it's Friday, you may not now get a response till Monday from Gigabyte Direct.

Let us know how you get on

Have you checked for bent CPU pins? Look VERY CLOSE as they are tiny and there is many of them.

Do you have your memory in the correct slots? That would be 1,3,5 (White)

Debug codes list is in my signature. I am thinking you are seeing maybe b8 instead of 8b, which leads to memory, so please do check you are using the correct slots before you go looking under your CPU.

I would suggest you also follow up with Gigabyte on Sunday night (Monday Morning in Taiwan) just reply again to your original post or make a second one if you like.

What caused this do you think, I see you have had the board for a month. It was working correct? Just checking to get more details is all.
