Ok I reinstalled the intel chipset drivers and still nothing. It still didnt work. The install went a bit unusual.as soon as I hit next to install it said finish. It stated everything installed correctly just it was done in less then half a sec

I also installed using run as administrator to see if it installed differently it didnt did the same thing as the normal install

On another post I read that if the vdimm-the qpi voltage wasnt between .1 to .5 then that can cause you to loose ram. I tried to do this but gigabyte doesnt have any voltage named vdimm

its the ram voltage it needs to be within .5 volts of the qpi if you look in easytune under hwmonitor it will show +5, 4892 or similar and dram 1.648v as long as the +5 doesnt go over 5v ur ok,have you tried loading optimised defaults and setting your overclock in bios again??

Yes I have tried resetting the bios several times. I will check the voltage thing a bit latter. I took away my oc and redid it and still the same problem. I will look again at the bios in a few minutes

Let me know if you need more help with this, sounds like you might. If so please post for me a link to your memory, and fill out a template with your full current settings and I will advise back.

Easytune did not cause this, incorrect QPI/Vtt/Vdimm (Memory Voltage) relationship causes this as I can directly reproduce it anytime. So you either possibly got away with it before by chance, or didn't notice? Either way you must find a good stable setting between these voltages, some CPU's like them to be closer and some further apart and others do not care.

The rule you are mentioning is just that you must keep your memory voltage within .5 of the QPI/Vtt amount, anywhere within that range can be fine it does not have to be .5 offset exactly at all.

12GB can be tough to get stable, I can help though. It is not the board itself at all, just settings. So don't get worried that you need to buy a new one or anything like that.

Your very kind to help ty. I will get that info tonight for you again ty very much.

I should also mention I just placed a new corsair h50 on my machine. In that one article it said that if a the cooler is to tight it may cause memory issues because of pressure on the cpu. I have loosened and tightend it to the point that it goes up in tempature and i still have the same issue so I dont think it could be that. I hooked up the h50 the same day I started having issues

I do recommend you install your cooler properly, as tight as you think it should be without damaging the board. What you say can happen but it is rare and I do not suggest using a loose heatsink at all.
