Maybe this will help you out, it only reiterates what I have already said though >>
Asus X58 + 6/12GB memory overclocking - detecting less memory than installed

You either have incorrect settings still, a faulty IMC on your CPU (Not likely), or bent CPU socket pins

Yes, those are way to small to see anything.

What you see in the taskmanger where I circled in the image I posted is all that matters. Other programs or tools you look at may show the full amount or not, but what you see in taskmanager is what is properly used.

Are you seeing "N/A" on any channels in the BIOS?

No im not seeing any na in the bios and what you circuled in the task manager is 4093 or something close to that. The one program shows tons of details about the ram. I figured that my help in some way shape or form.

I thinking about buying a new motherboard lol. Probably the evga tri sli it ends with a1 like 300 bucks. then send my gigabyte one for rma ro get replaced

Ok channel c is the one that is working. a and b arnt. If I put just sticks in a or just b it will not turn on. It will only turn on if I have sticks in channel c.
If sticks are inside channel a or b they are recognized as being in there and you can change the settings to all of them. It just isnt regestered in the actual ram during the post

So you cannot boot with a single stick in slot 1 or 3 (Physical 2 or 4)? If you cannot then you may have faulty channels on your board or bent pins in your CPU Socket, or even a faulty IMC which Intel will RMA you CPU for you if you find this to be the case.

I would check the CPU socket pins to be absolutely sure none are bent, this will also in the process allow you to re-seat your CPU which can also help sometimes if pins do not make proper contact this can happen.

Ok so what is the warranty on the gigabyte motherboard and how long does it take to get an rma back?

I have also been thinking about getting a different motherboard after this incident I kinda have a bad taste for gigabyte. There tech service is horrible they blame other products and if you prove that its the motherboard they just say rma they dont attemp to help like you guys.

So if I do buy another motherboard I have it down to 2 choices.

Newegg.com - ASUS P6T7 WS Supercomputer "Ultimate Gamer" choose 3Way SLI + PhysX at Real X16 X58 CEB Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

    or

    Newegg.com - EVGA E758-A1 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

not sure but I think this board is the same as the other evga just another version

    Newegg.com - EVGA E758-TR 3-Way SLI (x16/x16/x8) LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards

    Now I love 3 sli.
    1. The evga states that it has 16x/16x/8x
    2. The asus states that it has 16x/16x/16x and has an extra pcie slot for upgrades.

Now what is the difference in speed of the videocard between the two. I have 3 gtx 280s

Which one is easier to oc and to get stable

Sorry again for all the questions just dont wanna get the wrong thing lol.

And I know theres not a huge difference in speed between 8x and 16x but I want the best bang for the buck I am willing to spend a bit more for performance though.

    EDIT: and what does it mean when it states 1 x PCIe x16, 1 x PCIe x8/x16, 1 x PCIe x8
in the middle it states x8/x16 which one is it 16x or 8x or is it if you have 3 sli it goes down to 8x or can you choose your speed

2nd edit: and the asus board states
    3 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (@ x16 or x8)
    3 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (@ x8)
    1 x PCIe 2.0 x16 (@ x16)
    *4 x PCIe 2.0 x16 or 7 x PCIe 2.0 ( 6:@x8, 1:@x16)

It states (@ x16 or x8) is it 8x or 16x is it something you choose or is it automatic.
