    Default Upgrade to windows 7 64 bit 6 gigs ram unstable

    hey guys...
    i recently had 32 bit with 3 gigs or ram. ive now upgraded to windows 7 64 bit with now 6 gigs of ram and my overclock is unstable obviously. does anyone have any ideas which voltages need more juice in order to handle my upgrade? ive gone through a couple of them one at a time upping them only one notch but with no luck. im stumped.
    heres what i got.....

    25x168 = 4.2
    ht on turbo off
    qpi = x36 = 6.04
    mem = x10 = 1680
    vcore = 1.46875
    qpivtt = 1.455
    ioh core = 1.18
    dram = 1.64
    term = 0.74
    All else manual at default

    thanks guys in advance for all your help

    those timings seem ok to me,maybe its cos your running at 1680 speed,you can try a different multi x bclk to get you 1600 mhz something like 19x210 i cant remember the exact ratio so youll have to play around till you get it exact,then youll be able to clock to 1600mhz ram and to 4.2ghz

    update...
    i tried increasing that one setting from 7 to 8 following your rule however Prime crashed in under 10 minutes. just downloaded memtest and tried for a while but then i had to go. got my fingers crossed for later.

    just one thing though on your rules (thanks so much btw for the great info!)

    you say tWTR = write/read delay same rank - (tWL + 4)

    i tried to find that however to my best efforts i got a number of -2 hehehehe
    i have settings like write before read, and read before write, etc....
    would you please clarify which one you are refering thatd be grrreat!!
    thanks so much for the help

    I would suggest you leave the advanced settings all on Auto for now as they can be very tricky to adjust, that and they are not the cause of any of your issues unless you do have some set incorrectly. Those you can tweak last after you get stable to improve performance.

    What did you not understand about the tWTR rule? Sorry not sure what you are asking. If you are asking which setting is Write to Read/Same Rank it is this one (On each channel page) >>

    hey thanks so much for the help....
    heres what i get...

    tWTR = (write to read delay/same rank) - (tWL + 4)
    tWTR = 7 - (8 +4)
    tWTR = 7 - (12)
    tWTR = -5

    maybe i misread your rule.
    but other than that how do my other settings look and what would you try to get my system stable with the added 3 gigs ram and the new 64 bit windows 7?
    cheers bud thanks for the help

    Like I said set all advanced settings on auto until you are stable, then you can play around.

    So you need help with 6GB of ram total right? Are they a matched set first of all? If so, give me your full current settings as of now and I will advise back optimal ranges.

    Sorry, yes I can see I need to switch the rule order around

    5 is correct not -5 of course
