Ok just FYI before doing this test i recalibrated my realtemp settings. First i saved the current setup in the cmos, so i could revert to it after i was done calibrating. Then i reverted to STOCK settings and set cpu clock ratio to [6] and cpu vcore to [1.200v], saved and rebooted the system.

Ambient temperature in my room was 21c, so i had my computer case opened for about 10-15 mins. and i added 9 degrees on top of that to get the CPU temp. so an idle of 30c.

Also, while the system was off, i blew my cpu cooler/fan off with some compressed air, it had some dust build up on it, not much, but enough to notice.

Went back into bios, reverted to the current settings. Opened realtemp up idle temps were about 34-35. just what i expected.

I Just re-ran IBT...this is what i got. As you can see gflops are way low (i dont even know what those are lol) and temps are MUCH lower. either i calibrated wrong...which i dont think i did, or those settigns are not creating as much heat....doesnt matter tho because it still failed after 2 runs.

GFlops = Giga Floating Point per second.
Something definately wrong there, I get 16.9GFlops with my C2D at stock speed. They are simply not enough to produce as much heat as you had before.
I think VTT 1.22 is the one to go with, and try to play with MCH/CPU Reference.

alright this time i did IBT with cpu ref up a notch higher, gflops were about 27. and temps were a little bit higher. still failed after two runs tho.....wtf

im gonna raise cpu ref another notch and test again.

heres some data for you guys...

cpu ref @ .772v and vtt @ 1.22v gave gflops of 16...failed IBT after 2 tests.
cpu ref @ .797v and vtt @ 1.22v gave gflops of 21...failed IBT after 2 tests.
cpu ref @ .812v and vtt @ 1.22v gave gflops of 18...failed IBT after 2 tests.

i set vtt back to 1.2 and cpu ref back to .760 for the next set...

mch ref @ .760v gave gflops of 21, failed ibt after 2 runs
mch ref @ .740v gave gflops of 42, temps here were higher than all other test, but still within reason. failed ibt after 2 runs

Should i lower MCH another notch? and test again? or just skip to raising vcore to 1.3625v?

    ok.....im gettin pissed now.

    vcore 1.3625v
    cpu term 1.22v
    cpu ref .772v
    mch ref .772v

gflops of 13, failed after 2 IBT runs. temps were reasonable.
    wtf is going on.

You were better with the .740 MCH Ref @ 1.2Vtt, and GFlops were just right, did you had errors then too? If it failed try 0.720 first.
    At least keep the 0.740 Ref @ 1.2Vtt (~0.752 @ 1,22Vtt).

CPU Ref may be effected by change of Vcore, don't go all the way up at once, a notch or two at a time.

yea even with .740 mch @ 1.2vtt still failed IBt after two runs.

i just tried with a lower vcore of 1.30625v, cpu term of 1.2v, cpu ref and mch ref on auto

i got gflops of 41. but also failed after 2 tests. temps got to 77c. but really they werent that high cuz i have my calibrated set a few degrees over what it really is to give myself some cushion.

Also when IBT fail quit it and run it again, I ahd few times it behaved odd after failure.
