Default EX58-UD4P and Win7 Install Curious

    Hi,
Im just wondering if any other users of this mobo experience this. When installing(clean) Win 7 i noticed on my system when the Logo appears and moves onto the next screen(light Blue) my mouse pointer appears then nothing happens for 3.5 minutes .After this it continues on normally and the install completes.I have a laptop here which is high end and stacked out with xtras, but this does not pause anywhere near as long.Do you any of you owners of this board experience this?.Just curious to know what is going on for this time.Gather it must be collecting imfo about the mobo.
    Look forward to your comments.
    Thanks
    Les

Yes this is caused by floppy enabled without floppy installed, it affects Vista as well.

forgive me if this is a silly question (it's a threadjack of sorts, as well), but in a dual boot system, xp pro x86 and win 7 x64, do you bother installing the x64 drivers?
or would it screw up the up-to-date xp x86 version like i suspect?

If you mean in the XP x86 system no, you would install XP x86 drivers and when you were inside the win 7 system you would install the x64 drivers.

They are separate systems, and would use their own drivers and not affect each other at all, or use resources such as drivers from the other system.

thanks for the reply. i put off installing the x64 drivers for my ga-ep45-ds3l (chipset and lan. the audio isn't important to me and has been known to conflict with certain daw apps). although, i'm not experiencing any issues in win 7 with the current mobo drivers installed
