Default latest (non) beta flash for the P55M-UD2

Hello to everyone! Is F6 the latest official bios for this board? F5 is what I found at the Gigabyte support site. Thanks!

F6 is the final version, and is non beta, looks like they just have not updated the servers yet.

No changes noted, likely F5 beta was good so they renamed it to F6 and posted as final.

This happens often with the final beta of any given series.

    ^^ Could definitely be so.

Also, don't just rely on change logs for finding out what has been added or fixed. Virtually all the time there are many more changes in a BIOS than the release notes would suggest. It's always worth a shot upgrading. If you use QFlash then anything short of a power failure and you'll have no issues what so ever. Even if power does get cut most of the time the backup will kick in and re-flash the main for you. If not there are several "tricks" available to restore things. Note that these tricks aren't posted as they are involved and in 99.999% of cases not needed.

Rest assured that Gigabyte have you covered when it comes to BIOS flashing. In the virtually zero chance case the board is bricked then the warranty covers it too, unlike some manufacturers that state "Flash at your own risk". Giga stand behind their stuff.

final means that they are not releasing any more BIOS updates for this board?

No. By final, Lsd was meaning that F6 is now official and not beta. In this context Final = Official/Current non beta version.
