    Default Gigabyte DS4 Motherboard Issue

Attachment 1927 THe white power plug inside the green box in the attached image... What does it do? Does it deliver power to the I/O ports on the back? because whenever i attach power to it, the computer boots up for 10 seconds, shuts off, then repeats the process until I turn off the PSU. and If i leave it unplugged, the computer will start up but no USB or monitors will work.

The computer has worked fine for about 3 years now. and only recently started doing this.

    Any help?

    Thanks! :)

Green box? Looks purple/pink to me?

Anyway, yes that is the CPU power connection. You need to connect either a 4Pin ATX 12V CPU Plug or 8 PIN ATX EPS 12 CPU Plug from your PSU. 8 pin is suggested.

What PSU do you have? It may not be good enough to run the board. Ohh you have been using it, sorry I reply as I read.

Can you test this PSU with a PSU Tester, or on another setup to be sure it is not faulty now?

Can you test your memory on another system? If it works, then you may need to clear your boards CMOS, please see post #2 here for more info on doing that >>
