For anyone who wants to get 8gb running on this board bios fda runs 8gb 800mhz. I got as far as 48hr orthos blend. used optimized defaults. I had to stop because 48hrs is long enough. lol.

The only way that i could get 1066 running, 17hrs+ stable

I know this maynot exactly be the answer you're looking for but if FD is unstable, is there any reason why you can't just use FB, or are there features in FD that you desperately need?

Since time immemorial there have been BIOS versions for all mobos that work well with certain components at certain settings etc. I remember flashing my MSI K8N to version x just to be able to get a 166 RAM divider, as they removed it on all other versions.

I know it's tempting to use the latest build/version, but if it gives you headaches, ditch it and go with what works.

If you do want to keep testing though, follow Lsd's advice closely. It may help Gigabyte stabelise the next BIOS revision. Is there an FC BIOS? Does that present the same issues?

Also note that it may not be confined to all OCZ reaper as those kits differ in RAM IC's used depending on the time of manufacture. I've counted two types of IC on the ones I've used etc. If anyone posts with the same issue or with the same RAM but no issue it's worth asking them what Reaper revision they have or even looking under the heatsinks if possible. If they don't come off, ther may be a PCB serial number somewhere.

Edit: Fromthe look of the last profile you posted you're using way too many auto settings. Follow Lsd's advice and take as much off auto as possible when trying to get 1066 on FD.

Perhaps Lsdmeasap or Stasio can get hold of Fc for you? May be a long shot but if any features you need that aren't in B are in C it may solve the stability issue.

From personal experience I've found Reaper to be bothersome on UD3 boards for some unknown reason. The older reaper with the mark 1 heat sinks was always fine. I think on the next revision they either changed the PCB design or the IC's used, and since then I've had trouble every time I come to use them. Strangely on DQ6 and even G31 based boards I've had no issues with either.

Hope you get this sorted to your satisfaction. If I think of anything to help stablize I'll post it up for you. To be honest I think Lsdmeasap has it covered, as usual hisadvice is spot on.

How recent is that Orthos beta?

To be honest I'd avoid using Orthos, it's been made almost useless now that propper Prime95 supports multi core by itself in a single instance of the program.

If using a 64bit OS I also recommend getting the 64bit latest version of Prime95. You can download various versions from here:

    http://www.softpedia.com/progDownloa...oad-76537.html

These may not be the absolute latest builds but will probably be much more recent than Orthos and certainly better than a Beta. Never, ever stress test with a Beta test program as you can't tell if the errors are because of your hardware or their software.

These may not be the absolute latest builds but will probably be much more recent than Orthos and certainly better than a Beta. Never, ever stress test with a Beta test program as you can't tell if the errors are because of your hardware or their software.
Thanks. I will be using prime95 from now on. orthos beta can't test more than 2gb of memory and with 64bit prime95 you can max out your ram. Prime95 finally crashes and it seems weird that i feel like I'm making progress. what i said before is no longer true. thanks Psycho101 +1rep.

p45 ud3p 1.6 fb stable but fd fails or is it just my ocz incompatibility?!? This guy has problems uniquely similar to mine. I'm starting to think this ocz brand is just not that great. JR P45 driving me crazy!
