    Thank you Lsd and Kick for helping me out here, don't know what this forum would do without guys like you...

    Just tried 501 FSB for tRD 8 and I got a fast beeping so I changed tRD to 9 it loaded the logo screen but got into a reboot loop, going to clear CMOS since most likely can't find last working settings good enough to boot. I'm on my old pc now.

    I used the settings from template in post #4 just that instead of FSB: 471 I tried 501 2.00D multiplier 1002MHz frequency 4.25GHz and 1.4V Vcore also 1.38 VTT and MCH.

    Guess my ram for FSB >466 can't handle tRD 8-9 for 5.5.5.15. I'll try 2.2V and tRD 10 (max I tried 1.6V till now) also I'll leave tRRD; tWTR; tWR; tRFC; tRTP on [AUTO] and selected Driving Strength Profile [1066MHz] and I'll +1 tRD till I get it working or I reach 14. After that I'll lower voltage 1 notch per BIOS value at the time (if it works), will be time consuming but least now I know the correct procedure. If I can't make it work for FSB 501 I'll lower it by 10 and start over. I'll post my working templates once I start to get some results.

    One thing is for sure tRD is a pain. Maybe on other mobos this RAM works on tighter timings... too bad is not doing so for me.

    LE2: The usual vdrop was 0.02-0.04V anyway FSB500 even 499 is a waste of time on this config. I'll focus more on FSB:450 and 2.00D and 2.66D strap maybe I'll work something out there also FSB 475 2.00D tighter timings and see what gives better results. Too bad I changed my mind when I bought all these and got Corsair instead of Mushkin bleaaaah.

    You will need more Vcore than that for 4.25 for sure, and less MCH as 1.38 is too much.

    Higher FSB and P45 does mean you must use a higher tRD

    450 FSB is a good strong place to start, and it would be much easier to get stable.

    @Kick those timings really helped but unfortunately not on my mobo on an UD3P and this Mushkin kit did better on my mobo booted @ tRD=6 1066MHz.

    For some reason any other FSB I tried using the settings from the template bellow failed IBT after 2-3runs. Only for FSB:448 I could get 5runs on IBT. For FSB 424, 436, 444,450,471,476 using the exact same settings Prime was stable for least 30min.

    Another weird thing, if I try to use 400 strap IBT fails, seems like it loves 333 strap

    My first concern would be the Core temperature I got using IBT, 89C is quite a lot even tho Tjmax is 100C, for 26C ambient.

    Didn't tried yet to lower the Vcore.

    For Advanced Timing Control on this mobo my RAM just refuses to use lower tWTR for example 4 like many people use, but on the UD3P it worked. I tested the RAM and has no problems.

    Another thing that bugs me is the 0.06V vdrop on vcore and up to 0.09 between idle/load, isn't that too much? Till now was 0.02-0.04, did I stress it too much lately lol? Could that be a sign to keep lower core temps?

    I'm thinking to start and lower vcore 1 step at the time till I get a minimum, after that lower VTT (CPU Termination) and use 60% not 63% or even 58%. After that should I tinker on MCH or is ok?

    What else would you guys suggest for getting lower core temperatures???

    In case I lower voltages and prime is stable for least 30min but IBT fails after 2-4runs should I leave it like that or push it back? Using 30min Prime sessions to save some time...

    There is no 2.66B memory choice. So which are you using? If you are using 2.66 it would have to be 2.66D. And if you are/do use the D choices you may have to use tRD 9

    2.40B for 333 strap sorry... tried 8,9,10 for 333strap and 9,10,11for 400strap also CPU ref and MCH ref are 0.848 was about to correct it. Should I lower CPU CLock Drive or PCI Express Clock Drive? Would that help getting lower core temp?

    LE: Got VTT (CPU termination) 1.3V using the settings from the template I posted above and it pass 5 IBT runs next I'll try next PLL 1.5 and after that dropping Vcore 1step at the time. Still 87C max core temp in IBT. I know is not likely to use any software or game that could stress the CPU so much but still 87C sounds too much for me. I know the best way to drop core temp is lower multiplier FSB or new cooler but I hope to get vcore down 2-3 steps.

    Everything I tested these days tried also on other BIOS versions... so a quick thought would be that F11e fix a lot of issues.

    No, don't lower clock drives, and no doing so would not help temps. That would be only mainly Vcore, and a little for Vtt


    Try with CPU Ref on Auto for now maybe, and use 2.00D multi. What MCH ref are you using? IE: What amount did you set it at with Vtt at 1.2?

    I tried PLL 1.5 instead of 1.57 it restarted after 1 IBT run also Prime failed in 2-3min. About MCH ref and CPU ref I did exactly like this:

    -Loaded Optim Settings.
    -Manualy input settings according to the template except:
    VTT - 1.2
    CPU and MCH ref - .76
    Got back to VTT and changed 1.2 to desired value of 1.34 and the rest updated itself to .848

    Same for DRAM voltage and MCH/DRAM ref, DRAM termination Channel A/B ref. 1.8 at first, 0.9 rest, back to DRAM voltage and changed to 2.12 it updated the rest as 1.06.

    Doing so ET6 as you can see it still shows 0.76V for CPU MCH ref even tho in BIOS it is 0.848V. Doing this IBT was successful for 5runs also Prime stable 30min.

    I lowered VTT at 1.3V and CPU MCH ref got modified by itself 0.823V I was able to "pass" Prime for 30min but on IBT it failed after 2nd run but I just got a message, no BSOD no restart. Probably if I leave Prime over night it could fail in 2h-8h.

    Also tried to maintain 1.3V for VTT but lower the CPU MCH ref. Followed the same protocol changed from Auto to 1.2 but for CPU MCH ref I choose a lower value .72 instead of .76 and back on VTT for 1.3V and it updated but MCH ref was a bit higher than CPU ref. I don't recall the exact numbers, didn't write it down. IBT BSOD after 1 run.

    At some point I tried CPU MCH ref on Auto but not for the template settings, I'll try all combination CPU ref Auto and MCH ref = 0.63 x VTT or even lower 0.6/0.58 and MCH ref Auto..... and post the results.

    I don't get something, for the template settings FSB 448 it works on IBT 5 runs Prime nothing for 30min (just tested it again). Why would IBT fail if I change the FSB dows? Doesn't seem logical ... maybe for FSB 424, 436... but 444? I usually run IBT 2-3 times (5runs 4Threads).

    Least I started to narrow down on settings that kinda work for other FSB than 448 except stock too . As I said in the first post not looking to break any world record just IBT Prime stable and some increased performance, more interested in using this for another 5-7yrs than keeping it OCed and get crazy core temps in stress tests at least, pretty sure I can't find any daily software application or game that could stress it like IBT Prime does.

    For Advanced Timing Control on this mobo my RAM just refuses to use lower tWTR for example 4 like many people use, but on the UD3P it worked. I tested the RAM and has no problems. On UD3P it worked even at 4.4.8.58.4 (Advanced Timing Control) but on mine 4.12.8.60.6 tRD 9 and 10 for 400 strap (just put them on Auto and used MemSet to check the numbers. )

    I've read the recommended VTT numbers and how to set it right but there is missing something, for what VID those numbers worked. Many prob heard that for 45nm CPU's VTT reference should be 0.63*VTT. From my testings with a VID=1.2V CPU I found that VTT reference that works best for me is between 0.80-1.00V and that makes sense now. My EP45-DS3R has a default VTT reference = VTT*0.63 as many other mobos, even from other manufacturers.

    EP45-DS3R BIOS there is no CPU Reference2 Voltage so I was using 63% instead of Ref2 67%

    EP45-DS3R BIOS default numbers

    Vcore = 1.2V

    VTT (CPU Termination) = 1.2V

    VTT ref (CPU reference) = 1.2 * 0.63 ~ 0.76V

    LE: When you try to OC and want to use settings that worked for someone leave "Advanced Timing Control" (ATC) on [AUTO] for start just set the Driving Strength Profile related to the frequency 667/800/1066/OC-1200/OC-1300. For example I was desperate to use 5.5.5.15 @ 1066MHz and 4.4.8.52.4 for ATC like many people do, but my RAM likes 5.11.8.68..6 so no wonder stress tests failed.

    Could be a FSB Hole on your CPU for 448. Did you try 450 or 460?

    Ya board that do not allow you to set CPU Ref 2 will have that one locked always at .67, some boards have both CPU Ref 1 .63, CPU Ref 2 .67. My UD4P has both
