    Ahh ok, Ya I would go ahead and use something other than the stuff that comes with it.

    It's similar to Ceramic and just not that great, sadly that heatpipe as large as it is does not get very much heat transferred to it anyway due to the design of it all.

    hmmm I see, mine does kit quite warm during usage... just can't afford to go watercooling right now...

    Ya, it is a expen$ive habit.

    If you redo the thermal paste under the NB with TX-2 or MX-2 you should see a good drop in temps

    got as5 at the moment and sits at 43 degrees..... or there abouts.

    I mean under the actual main heatpipe, on the NB Chip, or did you mean that. If you used AS5 there I hope you did it very carefully, if you have not redone the thermal paste on the chip already if you decide to please use a non capacitive paste such as TX-2 or MX-2

    i mean under the heatpipe... not brave enough to actually remove the NB sink from the board itself :)

    yep ud5.. but broke it before i could really push it.. had it running at 4.0 without any problems on air
