Default Completely safe to use Face Wizard with DualBIOS motherboard?

    Hello!

I have a Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 rev.2.0 motherboard and I have some questions about using Face Wizard to change the boot logo.

My motherboard has the DualBIOS feature, is it completely safe to use Face Wizard then? Is it right that it protects against flash failure?

I have thought of doing this way and want to hear what you think about it:

    1. Use Qflash to save the current BIOS file so I can change back if I want.
    2. Use Face Wizard to load the current BIOS and change the boot logo, but not use Face Wizard to flash, only to save the BIOS file with the new logo.
    3. Put the new BIOS file on a USB flash drive.
    4. Flash the new BIOS file using Qflash.

    Thank you in advance! :)

    Best regards
    Johan

Yes, please ONLY use Face Wizard to create / mod the BIOS, DO NOT Use it or @BIOS to flash with.

Use Qflash to flash the new BIOS, or flash from DOS using FlashSPI

Thank you for your answers! I will come back if I get any problems. :)

EDIT: Should I use the Face Wizard version on the Driver DVD or the newer from the Internet?

    Best regards

I thought that the one on the DVD maybe was tested for my motherboard.

Sorry, no I missed your edit.

Please use the latest version from here, the one on the DVD would be old.

It is not board specific or anything, all boards would use the same program

    Thank you again! :)

Is it correct that the image must be 640*480 px and BMP or PCX format? Are there any other limitations?

Ya it must be in that format, there is some other limitations I believe but I cannot think of them off the top of my head. The program will error and or show you a blank screen if the image is not proper.

If you do a advanced search here in the Gigabyte section, using Face Wizard or FaceWizard searching titles only you will find several threads where I gave tips and or the further limitations and image examples
