    im not sure unless he ment you wont get the most out of 2000mhz unless you overclock you cpu to match them like 4.2ghz

    Sorry about that, I think I was looking at another users memory link of 1600Mhz, instead of your 2000Mhz kit, when I advised you on that.

    OK here is my latest OC to try to move above a 3.2MHz OC I currently have . Its based on advice Lsd gave me back on the 12th December

    With the settings below the system Posts reliably I got the windows startup then BSOD, havent seen one of them for a long time. The BSOD was flashed up so fast before reboot I had no time to read what it said and I am not sure where to look for the log file that may contain the relevant information in Windows 7 or even whether it keeps them?

    I suspect the issue may be with memory timings but I could be wrong so any advice welcome. I did try manually setting the advanced timings using Lsd's guidelines but it didnt improve the situation. The link to the OCZ Blade 2000MHz memory is given below:

    If anyone does reply to things like voltage settings can they please NOT say things like they "should be higher" as to me that tells me nothing unless you can recommend how much higher ie a value range I can safely try ;)

    OK first of all I feel the need to rename this post as I am now using BIOS f9m

    Using this BIOS I have managed to set an effective OC of 3.8 GHz below are the settings I used having taken Lsd's advice and read up a bit on optimal BCLK/CPU clock ratio combinations. So here are the settings which worked for my system

    Of course nothing ever goes perfectly and but I will make a seperate post about that little annoyance

    you could keep everything the same for 3.8ghz but set system performance enhance to standard,cpu voltage on normal setting,qpi on 1.3000 volts and enable eist and c1e...i run with those settings and i lose 5-6c off idle temps and it doesnt run at full throttle at idle only when the cpu is loaded the cpu normal setting only uses 1.18750 volts and it will use alot less with c1e enabled
