    Thanks Lsdmeasap, I will certainly keep the "mirroring" the hard drive in mind, actually reading about it now. Ok I get the difference you explained in safely vs stability. On the box that the RAM came in it shows 8-8-8-24 and the voltage to be 1.5~1.6, I have not tried the 8-8-8-24 and my voltage is still at stock. What I have tried before was 8-9-9-24 and that seemed stable with 1.5V, but that was also right before my Windows crapped out on me too, so now I may be able to "see" a difference. As you said lowering the timings may cause it not too boot but not actually damage the memory. I will try running at 8-8-8-24 today and increase the voltage a bit, see what happens and post the results to you, thanks a bunch!

    Thanks bud, I have now changed to the 8-8-8-24 setup with a slight increase in voltage to 1.565, and seems stable so far. I have not done any stress tests yet, and my temps are running normal. One program I know of for stressing is prime95, which is great. I am curious on your opinion of how to test the memory?, I have downloaded memtest86 but have not used it yet, would this be a recommendation to use? I want to find out the possibility of errors in the memory itself. Let me know what you think.
