Two quick things to help you on your quest.

In your bios, I see you say you can't change things with a * next to them.
Change base clock control to enabled, that will allow control over that area.

Also set the DRAM selectable to "quick". this will allow you to set the memory controls.

Something a lot of people dont talk too much about is the QPI/VTT. On my UD6 it takes 1.48V to get my Trident's stable at 2000MHz.

Also if you can, boot the PC at stock, go to the power options, and select the box to make sure the PC doesnt auto reset on failure. This will allow you to actually read the error that shows on that pretty blue screen. Then you can report the error back to us for more direct help on the issue.

    Hello,
I have the same gregmits's hardware configuration:

    Motherboard: GIGABYTE 1156 GA-P55-UD4 (GA-P55-UD4)
    CPU: INTEL Core i7 860 2.8Ghz 8MB (BX80605I7860)
    RAM: DDR3 1600Mhz PC12800 4GB Corsair Dominator Skt1156 (2x2GB) (CMD4GX3M2A1600C8)
    Power Supply: Corsair CMPSU-650TXEU 650W (CMPSU-650TXEU)
    HD: Western Digital 500GB WD5001AALS 7200rpm 32MB Black
Video: GF GTX275 Gainward 896MB Golden Sample

OS: Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit (before I had the 32bit version but I had the same issue of the 64bit version)

    BIOS Version: F6

and the same issue...the pc randomly freezes and my keyboard and mouse seem as if they don't get any power and I hear a constant noise from my speakers (like a millisecond sound in an infinite loop).

    I've tried the wazza300's suggestions:
    1) In Advanced Memory Settings: XMP disabled, Set ram manually to 1600mhz (Setting SPD to 12) and timings 8-8-8-24, Performance Enhance: Standard
    2) In Advanced Voltage Settings: QPI 1.200V the first time and 1.250 the second, DRAM Voltage: 1.660v and I tried also with 1.640, CPU Vcore: Normal

    but Nothing works.

I installed my RAM on DIMM 1 and DIMM 3 as suggested in the motherboard user guide.

I hope someone could help me, thanks

Yes, please update your BIOS and then see if you still have issues, if so let us know what they are again to be sure.

    Latest BIOS is here

Please DO NOT USE @BIOS to flash, use Qflash or DOS here is a guide
