    Default GA-EX58-UD3R SLI Front Panel Audio help.

    Okay, when i built this rig i never needed the front panel audio so i didn't bother hooking it up. Now i do but looking at the antec 900 manual and the GA-EX58-UD3R manual it seems they are wired differently. I don't want to damage anything so i need to know of this will be compatible or not. AC'97 works but i need the HD so that i can plug in my speakers and my headphones and mute the rear device through the drivers.

    Motherboard:

    1= MIC2_L
    2= GND
    3= MIC2_R
    4= -ACZ_DET
    5= LINE2_R
    6= GND
    7= FAUDIO_JD
    8= No Pin
    9= LINE2_L
    10= GND

    Antec 900:

    1= MIC2 L
    2= AGND
    3= MIC2 R
    4= AVCC
    5= FRO-R
    6= MIC2_JD
    7= F_IO_SEN
    8= No Pin
    9= FRO-L
    10= LINE2_JD

    So is this safe to plug in? Thanks in advance for any help.

    for hd audio there should be a small black block connector with hd stamped on it coming frm front panel,plug it in near the lan ports on the motherboard it will only plug in one way,the bunch of loose wires you wont need

    Yes the case includes that connector and it will plug in just fine, i am just asking if it will be safe to plug into my motherboard because the wiring from each manual is different like i posted above.

    From the manual

    "Make sure the wire assignments of the module connector match the pin assignments of the motherboard header. Incorrect connection between the module connector and the motherboard header will make the device unable to work or even damage it."

    They dont look like they match to me, so i am asking if it is safe to use or not.

    it will only plug into the mb one way so you cant connect it wrong,aslong as the plug has a sticker marked hd on it you will be fine,on my case the front mic/headphone are built into the hd connector block i told you about,theres another bunch of seperate wires about 10 of them i didnt use those just the block it does the same job as all the loose wires

    I understand you are trying to help but you are not really understanding my question at all. I have no problem plugging the HD connector into my motherboard, my problem/question is about the wire diagrams being completely different between the case and the motherboard.

    BUMP, Can someone please give me a yes or no?

    no i know what you mean im just saying that the one block connector does the same job as all the wires your describing,

    1= MIC2_L
    2= GND
    3= MIC2_R
    4= -ACZ_DET
    5= LINE2_R
    6= GND
    7= FAUDIO_JD
    8= No Pin
    9= LINE2_L
    10= GND

    Antec 900:

    1= MIC2 L
    2= AGND
    3= MIC2 R
    4= AVCC
    5= FRO-R
    6= MIC2_JD
    7= F_IO_SEN
    8= No Pin
    9= FRO-L
    10= LINE2_JD

    the wiring diagram looks ok to me but i would google your case antec 900 front audio just to make 100% sure
