    well here is the answer I came up with. Went back to Microcenter they would not take the processor back only the board. One of the techs told me that with this board depending on th bios version may not be AM3 ready. It needs to be updated. The newer version is. The problem was I never got the system to boot even to the bios.

    So now I am stuck with the processor and purchased an asus board that would work but found out the ram could not contain 256 chips the board would not recognize them. That never booted either. So I returned that.

    Now I have an MSI board that is not booting either and I can't figure that out same processor athlon II x4 620. I am wondering if the processor is bad.

    What is the memory you are using? "Corsair DDR2 Memory" is not very specific. Corsair makes alot of different memory. Not all of it is compatible with PhenomII cpu's.
