i would disable xmp and set the memory timings and spd memory speed yourself, set the dram voltage to what its rated at either 1.66 or 1.5v in the bios and set qpi/vtt to 1.315000v and then try

I will try, what about other timings/values? there are just too many
[in the past this was lot easier, I've had notebooks since Pentium II, and now
the BIOS is big as bible :)]

just leave advanced timings on auto, select quick for timings and enter what they are according to you ram for example 8-8-8-24 and it will set it for all ram installed

have you fully cleare dthe cmos first by removing the mb battery overnight? make note of all bios setting as it will wipe them, then put battery in and load optimized defaults and re-enter oc settings

yes its fine for both, upto 1.5v for qpi is safe, and my northbridge runs around 45-47c its normal for it to run hot on x58 mb's

Default Re: x58A-UD7 Ram or Motherboard Issue?

i need help pls after 2 days try to push the speed of my ram and burning my memory to the stability but now i can't run the windows BS. this is the setting i'm running right now

    my spec:
    i7 975
    ga x58a ud7
    team group xtreem version 9-9-9-24 2t 2000mhz 6gb
    vga 285 2gb
    1200 valcon ps

    setting at the moment

    cpu ratio 25 so 4.12gb
    bclk 165
    memory x12 1980
cpu clock 700mv same as pci e
    cpu voltage 1.4v
    qpi / vtt 1.47
    dram v 1.5v

the funny thing is i even try to put down the cpu ratio to x11 which i running 2.1gb ( if i wasn't wrong ) still give me the BS.

sometime i was think i was so stupid bought the such expensive ram, waiting list as well now can't even run the stock speed. back to the question is this ram problem or motherboard

    thanks in advance
