Default Problem with GA-MA785GM-US2H HDMI Display

I'm new here. I hope someone can help me out.

I have a GA-MA785GM-US2H motherboard and want to use the integrated HDMI. When I plug it in and set my display to 1920x1080, there is a border around my display on my Sharp Plasma. The model I have is the Sharp Aquos which is a 1080p plasma.

I get the full 1080p when I play a dvd and blu-ray disks via HDMI on the screen so I assume that's working correctly.

I'd like to eliminate this border as it's unneccesary. I want the the full output on my plasma.

    Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit
    A-Data 4GB Kit (2x2GB) DDR3-1333MHz

Sharp Aquos LC32D62U 32" Plasma TV

Sorry for the crappy cell phone pics. It's all I have at this time. You can see the border around the screen in the first image.

And that I do have it set to 1920x1080 in the 2nd pic.

Not sure where else to check.

    Thanks for the help.
    Stan.

Your screen size adjustments are in ATI Catalyst Control Center, Doubleclick The red Icon that says ATI it may or may not be showing on your taskbar. Then Desktop Displays, Click the house Icon, To configure your desktop click the little triangle. The one beside the monitors for the HDMI monitor at the bottom. Then click on Configure Then click on the Adjustments tab. Now you should have monitor adjustments there. I hope you can navigate to it with my instructions. Let us know how that works.

have you gone in win media centre and set up display?and selected tv screen???
select tv/monitor setup and follow the wizard

also in ati monitor it will let you stretch the screen to fit your tv to eliminate any borders

thats assuming you have an ati gpu installed idk for nvidia cards

THe ATI Catalyst Control Center fixed the issue. Thanks.

But a question. Does this actually fix the issue and sizes the display appropriately, or does it simply stretch the image to fit the screen?

    Thanks again.

im not sure, aslong as it keeps the aspect ratio then stretching the image wont affect anything, did you look through all the set up options in win media centre? maybe you need to set it up for a large screen tv and not a monitor

Most monitors have these adjustments on them. Your Sharp plasma tv does not offer for the screen image to be manually adjusted as most monitors do. You may need to adjust the attributes:
    Attributes
Digital Panel Attributes provides information about the connected digital display. Use DVI Settings and Image Scaling to configure your digital display.
    Set Image Scaling
From the Graphics Settings tree, expand Digital Panel Properties.
    Click Attributes.
Under Image Scaling, click to enable the desired setting.
NOTE: Enable Scale image to full panel size to fill the digital display.
NOTE: Use centered timings will not resize the desktop to fit the screen, and may result in a centered image with a black border around it.

    Thanks for that info.

Can you tell me if the onboard HDMI is v1.3a? Does it support 5.1 or 7.1 surround?

1.(HDMI is v1.3a?) I believe would depend on the type of connector that is used.
    2.(support 5.1 or 7.1) The Radeon HD 4200 supports 5.1
