    tested it on 8-8-8-24-1T & 2T

all settings the same. up the QPI/VTT to 1335v and it failed again.

    also got a stop error?

    Stop Error 0x00000024

the QPI/VTT above that changes colours? looks dangerous.

    i mean right now CPU-Z

    1280
    9-9-9-24-1
    640mhz
    2:8

    windows works perfect!

is there any harm in running it like this if its working stable.
i know im not getting my money out of it. but returning it will mean i aint going to be able to use the computer for weeks. = cant do that lol

what is strange is that in Everest it says

well ive looked on the site and memory for the mobo. andthe only one ive seen is Dominator c8D is compatible.

maybe my memory isnt? i could try sending it back to upgrade to the dominator cost of 15 more.

    just to be clear.

is say a QPI/VTT of 1.4 to much? dont want to fry anything lol.

aslo the stop error i got think might be a NTFS.sys error?

I think 1.35 is maximum according to intel, however people have been using way more than that on places like XS.

    on the gigabyte site.

    whats strange now though is..

im running the same as you with a 3.8Ghz..

    Ram is running 1440 @ 8-8-8-24-1 1.64 = 740mhz 2:8

    QPI/VTT 1.275
    CPU Core 1.1875

    ran prime95 4hrs. = 0 errors

    Idle Temp 31c
    Max Temp 56c

    ----------------------- side note:

i think i understand the ram things now.

    so its 2x +1.

so if my SPD is x8
my Uncore should be x16 +1 = x17 right? or have i got that wrong.

yeh thats right, you just might need a little bit more qpi voltage if you run ram at 1600mhz,and did you set ram v to 1.66 in bios not 1.64? in windows it will show as 1.64 even if set at 1.66 in bios which is correct

yea its set at 1.66 in bios.

just tried a 1.64 and got this error in prime.

    Worker#6
FATAL ERROR: Rounding was 0.5, expected less than 0.4
Hardware failure detected, consult stress.txt file.

    43 Tests in 1 hour . 23mins..

    all others are fine.

that due to lowering the voltage on the ram.

because befor it it ran fine @ 1.66 for 4hrs = 0 errors.

good to know im learning something if thats right lol..
