no i did as the guide said and used HPUSBFW to format a 1GB pen drive.

    that all works good.

    i then put the files
    EX58UD5.F9M
    FLASHSPI.EXE

    on the pen drive

reboot & hit END to bring up Q-Flash.

pick the File & then it does a li loading and says Checksum error 7A00
do you really want to Flash ect?

when i dod the same with F9P i get Bios ID Error?

dont put the flashspi.exe just put the bios bin file on pen drive and try. quote from the guide

As for the rest of the Gigabyte users, I have recently noticed that the actual files from gigabyte can be extracted from windows with no additional programs needed. Simply click "Install" (Which Means Extract) and the files will be extracted to the folder you have the exe in. Or you may also use the "Browse" Button and choose where to extract the files.

You can get the BIOS .Fxx file Extracted out of this .exe file to flash with Qflash by using Winrar to extract the files as well if you like. Or may now simply double click and extract the BIOS files without Winrar. Linux users and those who have Winrar or 7Zip installed, may use the method below using Winrar to extract if you like

still not working? keep getting the same thing

CHECKSUM = 7A00? everything else is normal untill i click on the bios file and it scans > >> >> then gives me that odd msg?

ive tried all the download sites on gigabyte. europe/usa/asia ect. each one gives me the same thing?

i dont want to try windows base Bios as ive read it can kill the mobo.

anything else to try? i dont have a floppy.

i have not Clear the Cmos and then try to flash the bios.

i did have a look about and found this if it helps.

    BIOS ROM Checksum Errors

Explanation: The read-only memory (ROM) containing the BIOS program is protected by a checksum value as a double-check that the ROM code is correct. This checksum is compared against the values in the ROM each time the PC is booted and if there is a mismatch, this code is generated.

Note: This error is not the same as a CMOS Checksum Error, which refers to corrupted values of the CMOS settings, the ones you set through the BIOS setup program. This error means the contents of the BIOS code itself are damaged.

Diagnosis: The BIOS ROM chip on the motherboard is probably faulty. It could also be another component on the motherboard.
