    Default BSoD with GA-P55M-UD2

    Hi,

I am trying to complete a new build consisting of the following components:

    Gigabyte GA-P55M-UD2
    Corsair CMX 4GB (2 x 2GB) Dual Channel DDR3 1600Mhz
    Core i5-750 CPU
    WinXP OS

The only peripherals attached to the MB is the graphics card, hard drive, and optical drive.

I am trying to install Windows XP on a newly formatted HD. The install progresses just fine until I reach the GUI part of the install where it says installing hardware. At this point the system goes into BSoD with a IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR _EQUAL and Stop code of either 0x0000007B or 0x0000000A.

After much troubleshooting with different components attached to the motherboard, I eliminated all hardware issues and concluded that my motherboard was at fault and asked my vendor for a replacement GA-P55M-UD2. Upon installing the replacement motherboard the problem still remains with the same error codes.

I've tried most of the settings recommended on this forum and have also upgraded my BIOS to F7c....still getting nowhere.

I'm hoping that someone will be able to help me, giving me things to try given my specific components.

    Thanks in advance,

    David

Thanks for the help wazza, however I ran across a BIOS tweak on TweakTown Forum that I hadn't tried before which fixed my problem.

I went to Advanced CPU Core Features and disabled the C1E, C3 and EIST functions and all is stable now.

    Thanks Again.

it should be stable with all of those enabled, what voltages are you using? as it might be that,i can run at 3.8ghz with those features enabled and it saves me alot of energy and heat in my overclock, theres only 3 main voltages you shouldnt keep on auto and they are cpu/qpi and ram
