Yup, mine boots, I can't remember what default is, but I keep my QPI @ 1.335v (never really tried dropping it to see if it remains stable though).

The next highest is 1.355v which is highlighted in pink in my BIOS so I've been avoiding going higher than 1.335v until warren300 recommended I try.

Was hoping the F10 BIOS would let me run my stuff at 1600 but I guess it's more of an Intel Memory Controller design issue than a motherboard/BIOS issue.

youll need alot more qpi voltage with 12 gb as the onboard memry controller will need more juice to handle 12gb of ram,and a c0 chip tends to need abit more juice than a d0

Yeah, seems like it, doubt it's worth risking pumping that much QPI voltage just to get the small boost in performance goin from 1200 to 1600.

is the memory two 6 GB kits are is it a 12 GB kit

i have the same board with two 6 GB kits i could not run at 1600 no matter what

12 GB kit runs perfect at 1600
    my settings

Extreme Memory Profile(X.M.P.) [Enabled] proflie 1
    System Memory Multiplier (SPD) 12
    Memory Frequency(Mhz) 1600 1600
    Performance Enhance [Extreme]
    CPU Vcore 1.30000V
    QPI/Vtt Voltage 1.255V
    DRAM Voltage 1.640V

I can set it manualy but i just use
Extreme Memory Profile(X.M.P.) [Enabled] proflie 1
    to set ram to 1600
but i have tried it both ways does not make a differance for me

you will run them @1600mhz if there a factory binned 12gb kit,its more difficult when its two seperate batch 6gb kits

Exactly, even on Corsair's forum they say that they can't guarantee that 2 6GB kits will run at rate speeds since it isn't tested to do so.

Wish they'd let you mail in your kits for a 12GB kit lol.
