As Chike said, post your current failed settings in a new post, don't update your bios settings in an earlier post.
Be sure to include the recommended screen-shot described in step #4.

You probably will need to set MCH Core = 1.22 - 1.26.
Be sure to detail the problems you encounter, e.g. boot loops, bsod, stress testing errors, etc.

    The following settings might help:
Driving Strength = 1066 or OC-1200 (for both memory channels)
    Cpu PLL = 1.55 - 1.57
    ICH I/0 = 1.55 - 1.57

Once you've posted your current 400MHz settings and your screen-shot, we can help you further.

Hey guys I got busy with life, I'm back at it. I have actually been able to get into windows, surf the net and do light tasks with the setting I have going. It seems that my OC is dependent on my RAM frequency, I have found that if I keep my RAM just below 1150MHz I have better luck with adjusting the FSB and CPU Clock Ratio. However when I run intel burn test as you can see below, I cannot get past the 2nd string in the test. I will hope on my laptop later and post from there my BIOS settings in form, for now I just thought I would give you an update and some pictures to look at :).

You are quite right about the memory. It is reccomended to keep it at or below it's spec frequency while OCing the CPU/FSB.

It seems you have plenty vcore, you may try to lower it later for lower temperatures.
A few tweaks may be needed, higher VTT(CPU Termination), adjusting MCH Reference, and possibly CPU Reference.
    http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/how-...asytune-29746/.

To simplify the process, combining VTT and MCH Reference adjusments
1 Set VTT to defalt (1.2v)
2 set MCH Core one step down (default 0.76 for 1st iteration, then 0.74, 0.72, 0.7)
3 set VTT one step up, save, reboot, and test
    4 repeat 3 up to 1.26v VTT
    5 go to 1

You may find for example that you are stable with 1.26v VTT, and MCH Core 0.76 @ 1.2v VTT, but still want to continue to find if lower VTT is possible.

Well I went through the whole rotation with no luck. I seem to get the best IBT runs in any itteration when I use 1.24 vtt. I am suspicious of my RAM after reading this on OCZ's forums: The quest to 1150MHZ with 4GB...bring on the Flex II 1150

Things I've noticed with the RAM.

    1. If I don't go past 399 x 9.5 and leave the RAM at 800 I can post.

    2. If I set the RAM to 1066 DS nothing will post and my PC will reboot until Bios resets to default.

    3. If I set my RAM to OC-1200 I can clock my RAM to 1149 but if I go over 1150 then I am back to 2. This setting here will also allow me to break 400 and then some.

Now when I ran IBT with your itterations the most "stable" I got was with the 1.24 mch ref didn't seem to make a difference, on some tests that would fail my PC would just reboot and there would be a quick flash of a blue screen, never on long enough for my to make out more then something about a dump? Some numbers unloading right below dump, lol. So is it possible that I need to dial in on my RAM settings before I can tighten my vtt and Mcref?

Thanks for sharring your knowledge guys I really appreciate it, this sure takes a great deal of patience that's for sure.

Can you post a screencapture of MemSet main(click >>) and SPD(click spd) windows along with the settings in question?
Leave DRAM Termination, MCH/DRAM Reference, and Channel References on auto.
Also leave all advanced memory timings on auto untill you are done with CPU OC.

@ Chike, hey how are you doing? Things are a bit frustrating here but I'm not going to give up until I find out what it is that is stopping me from a successful OC! Anyhow, I tried those settings from your last post and...

    1. Bios would post and restart after a quick flash of blue screen.
    2. Bios would post get to Windows did not shut down properly, with option to fix or start normally, tried both, when done PC would just restart. Also a quick flash of blue screen here.
    3. With MCH Core enabled to 1.28 windows would boot and run for a short time but when I would log on to our website here the browser would shut down and restart. PC did not stay stable long enough to get a capture.
    4. Tried lowering CPU Clock ratio to no avail.

So Auto on specified settings is not sitting well at all in this rig. OMG, I am at the point where it is either a crap MOBO or Crap RAM and am seriously considering selling what I have to go for something that will scale well with my OC, any ideas or recommendations? If you think this rig still has a chance shoot me some more and I will keep plugging away at it. Thanks Chike.
