    Default GA-EX58-UD4P overclocking help.

Hi guys, I got my new computer and I want to overclock my D0 i7 920 to 3.6mhz, not too extreme, but the problem is that I'm new to overclocking and not really sure what to do exactly. I read that I can do 3.6mhz without increasing any voltage, is that correct? + I have 6GB 1600mhz RAM which I'm not sure how to handle during my OC. Any help will be appreciated!

follow my guide in my sig, just set bclk to give you 3.6 instead of 3.8,keep all voltages the same

Hi man, so I set the settings to exactly what your sig said with changes to my RAM, but I can't hit 1600mhz exactly, which is my stock speed for the RAM. When I set the System Memory Multiplier, the closest I can get is 1460mhz and the one after is 1800mhz. What can I do? I have been running prime95 torture test for about 15-20 mins and max temp is 72 so far, it is a bit too much for my Mugen 2, isn't it? By the way, isn't increasing the QPI/Vtt voltage risky?

have you set bclk to 170 or 180? 1460mhz is ok to hit 1600mhz ram youll need to higher or lower bclk untill you can hit on 1600mhz exactly for your ram,and no 1.30000 qpiv is fine, its safe to use upto 1.45000 but thats only for clocks of 4.6ghz+

I set it to 180mhz and disabled turbo.
Do you think I should put 170 and enable turbo?
I wanna hit 1600mhz with my RAM... :(
what about the temps? are they okay?

temps are ok,its safe to go upto 80c and you should be able to use turbo @4.5ghz+ so keep it enabled, try with 170bclk and see if you can use 1600mhz with 170,if not try with 160bclk

    Tried 170 - I hit 1700, system not booting.
    160 - I hit 1600mhz, can't hit 3.6mhz CPU.

i think its something like 210bclk x18 multi or 205 bclk x 18 that will give you 1600mhz and 3.6 cpu
