copy and replace with your overclock settings then paste back,if its giving you overclock warnings then something isnt set correctly, ignore the settings in the text just fill them in according to your current overclock

I built 2 complete systems over the weekend, both setups are running exactly the same spec.

The main parts of the build are

    i7 930
    UD7 mobo
    HX1000w PSU

I have read all 3 pages of this thread so before you tell me to test with a newer bios, i will do ;) however for now just so everyone knows both systems are running F2 Bios as thats what came on the board.

The system is overclocked and is stable, however the problem i have is the werid resetting issue....

If i turn my pc on, it will power up for a few seconds, power down, then power back up......

At the same time the screen will load to say that due to overclocking/voltage errors the bios has been reset (both systems are OC'd) however when entering the BIOS ill then see that the settings have not been reset at all, choose F10.... and boots into windows....

This weird power up, power down problem... im not sure what it is but i doubt its the PSU, not in my situation anyway.

Any advice would be appreciated, ill aslo be keeping an eye on this thread
Sounds like you have some incorrect settings, please do not use Fail Safe as a starting point if you are. False starts 2 or 3 is often normal at high clocks, but what you describe is not that. You are describing a failed overclock or failed settings (At any clock). If you see a warning at bootup, or a red box in the MIT Section then your settings failed. The settings you set will often still be visible in the BIOS and appear to be set, they just will not be used until you get them correct.

Please make a new thread with your issues, and your full specs and settings and we can help

They are looking into this, I will let you guys know once I hear back. Looks to me like it is some hardware compatibility issue since I do not have any problems with this, even at 4.2Ghz

Start a new thread? Why? This thread is specifically about the UD7 settings resetting themselves after shutting down after windows being reset which is what my pc is doing, hence why i registered and replied to this thread specifically.

Also i dont see how the settings are wrong as the pc is completely stable under prime95. The ONLY issue it has is not wanting to boot normally and showing the red screen

Well i tried most of the settings you gave though still dont get POST beep, and sometimes get the red warning screen (prime is still stable)

    Uncore Frequency .......................... (Auto) << Set this 2x ram multi or 2x +1 or 2x +2 (+ 1-2 often best so 17-18)

Can you explain this one for me please ? ^^

Also im a bit confused regarding my RAM latency settings. My corsair ram is rated at 9-9-9-24 but in bios its showing 8-8-8-20? If i look at CPU-Z it shows 9-9-9-24??

Am confused to if i change the RAM settings manually in bios or ifs actually setup correctly

if your spd/ram multiplier is 8x the uncore freq will be twice that number then you add an extra one or two to it,so an 8xram multiplier will be either a 17 or an 18x..for your ram timings did you manually type them into the bios screen??? 9-9-9-24-1T???

    Hi Warren,

no i did not. I was unsure what to do regarding ram timings due to the conflict of readings from bios/cpuz

Ive started a thread here http://forums.tweaktown.com/f69/i7-9...75/#post348942 as to not get in the way of this thread

Thanks SB420 for making a new thread!

The reason I asked that was so that we could better help you, to keep things clean on your issues and what you have already done to try and resolve them. This thread is about EuP issues, nothing to do with what you are experiencing.

Please do add any new questions or questions from above you still may have to your new thread, so I can provide you an answer and wont overlook it being in this thread.

Thanks! I will get to your thread shortly this morning, making my rounds now

Cool, ya no problem to me either. I was just trying to keep things clear with your issue, and a separate thread is the best way to do that.

I just replied in your thread I believe, so hopefully I can get your going smoothly in the next night or so.
