    Alright then I see you all prepered for some serious OC, sorry I ovelooked your signature.

    Read this post for recommended manual stock settings before OCing.
    Note that you ram is DDR3, do not exceed it's rated voltage for now.

    Post full BIOS settings after setting them manually, or before if you are unsure and want us to review them.
    Please post the screen capture as described in step 4.

    I see JEDEC profiles are set to 1.5v so higher memory voltage is not a problem.

    I usually recommend to use the XMP/EPP profile and leave all timings on auto, and leave them be untill CPU OC is done. Current manual settings will be fine up to DDR-1600.

    I believe that with a few changes you can get the memory to 1600MHz with a slight OC:

    CPU Termination --------- 1.200V* ----- : [1.200] << 1.22-1.24 may be needed
    MCH Core ---------------- 1.100V ------- : [1.100] << increase graduately up to 1.26v if needed
    DRAM Voltage ------------ 1.500V ------- : [1.35] << perheps a bit more to read 1.35 in ET6

    If you do not wish to use LLC you may need to increase vcore instead.
    Other tweaks may be needed like adjusting MCH/CPU Reference

    Run a few passes memtest86+ before attempting to run windows, then a few hours Prime95 and decide how you want to continue, higher FSB or CPU frequency.
    You can save different BIOS profiles for different purposes or times (e.g. I use lower OC at summer), so you may stabilize and optimize a 3.6GHz@400FSB profile, and then continue with higher FSB.

    Chike, I'm having alot of problems.First of all the only Drivers I've updated was the LAN driver.Since this is a fairly new MOBO (12/29/09) I thought maybe the disk contained the most current drivers. This is the first time that I have ran MEMtest 86+ on this RIG. "COULD NOT" get it to run 400 FSB. Auto timings - MEMtest showed me running single channel sometimes - So I set all timings manually. I still could not pass memtest 400FSB. I thought I should get it stable at 333 FSB - Then I would have a stable starting point. I finally got MEMtest to pass and PRIME 95 stable for 2 hours @ 333 FSB. I broke the "GOLDEN RULE" and made multiple changes at one time. So I am not sure what helped me to get stable. I am including my M.I.T., my Advanced BIOS, and Integrated Peripherals BIOS settings. Could you look at them and see if there are any changes I need to make and let me what you think is my next step. Thanks again for your help. Below are my current settings:

    Chike, Thanks for getting me back on track - I used your settings with success.Using the 3.33B Strap I was able to OC with little or no problem.I was able to get stable at 3.20GHz, 3.40GHz, 3.60GHz and 3.80GHz.All passed 3 passes of Memtest 86+ and Prime95 Blend for 3 hrs.I'm currently running the 3.20 GHz setting.I'm still a little confused about the MCH/CPU Reference adjustments.I read the thread you posted for it at least 10 times - tried making ajustments - not sure whats going on.
    I managed to get the 4.00D Strap / 3.60GHz to work "some what".I had at least 30 plus BSOD's before I managed to get to my desktop."Very unstable" Failed IBT Standard Test after 2 passes.Froze up after running 15 to 20 minutes.I was just wanting to check in with you so you would know where I'm at with the "tweaking".What information do I need to send you???THANKS AGAIN

    The default value should be fine. This is the setting that I use for my parallel port scanner. The only time you will need to change the default setting is if the windows device manager shows a conflict with the DMA = 3 default setting.

    Have you tried the 3.33D multiplier? If the D strab multipliers do not work maybe 4.00B would.

    There is a short version to the MCH/CPU reference link just below it.

    Any time settings are in question, pust full settings.

    Memory frequency is not that important, the real gain in memory performance comes from higher FSB. Perhepse you can use 6-7-6-20 timings with DDR-1333 settings, that will give about the same performance as DDR-1600 with looser timings if not the same with your current 400MHz FSB.

    Thanks Chike and profJim.I have to go to work right now - when I get home I'll send you some information.I don't need my RAM to run 1600 - I just thought it should - since that is what G.Skill Forums said this is the RAM to use with this MOBO.Runs great 3.33D Strap /1333 with 400 CPU Host Frequency.Thanks again
