    Yeah, but please look at my revised signature. Same Mushkin memory on both systems but different processors. The memory was purchased a year apart but why the SPD changes or does the BIOS take the processor into consideration? Also, on the E6750 I had to bump the Vcore 3 notches to 1.40V to get it to run OCCT for 60 minutes @ FSB 450 or 3.6MHz. It was running at relatively stable @ FSB 440 @ 1.375V. Does that sound right?

    Could you post a screen capture of MemSet SPD window for each of the mushkin memory.
    It could be a new rev. of the memory and SPD had to change.

    It is likely that more vcore will be needed per MHz as you increase FSB, adjusting MCH/CPU References may help using a little lower voltage.

    The SPDs both match, so what exactly do you mean, the defaults in BIOS are different or the values in MemSet main window?

    This could be due to the different multipliers/straps you have set for each setup, simple way to test this is set one of them just like the other.

    That makes sense. The Q9950 system is 2.40B and the E6750 is 2.00D. I'm over thinking the problem!!

    You shouldn't be bothered by the numbers in BIOS, they are not even always correct.
    Benchmarks will tell if performance is good.

    Help! The BOIS settings and screen shot included seemed OK. Ran OCCT 60 minutes - no errors. Ran Prime95 for 5 Hours and 15+ minutes before Core 0 reported a rounding error! I am out of ideas on what to change to get this thing stable at 450 * 8 = 3.6GHz let alone moving on to 3.8GHz. I have tried increasing the Vcore and CPU Termination to get to 455 FSB but it is like I've hit a wall. What should I be looking to change - this thing should be able to OC to 3.6GHz and beyond - shouldn't it? I must be missing something since I had to go to a Vcore of 1.40V just to get to this point.

    Your MCH and CPU Reference are at default settings.
    Try to set MCH Reference 1 to 3 step lower. Do not change any voltage but MCH Reference.
    For current VTT the default MCH and CPU Reference are 0.798 (0.76 @ 1.2v VTT).

    You may also want to try 2.00B memory multiplier.
