    Default EP43-UD3L OC on Q6600 + 2x2GB OCZ

Hi, I recently purchased the EP45-UD3L as a replacement for my old EP43-DS3L. I've found overclocking to be somewhat easy so far regarding my cpu but i need some help overclocking my RAM. I've already done some tweaking, but i would like to hear some advice from you guys before i push my system too hard.

    Specs:
    Q6600 Kentsfield, Stepping: B, Revision: G0 (currently @3.0ghz up from 2.4)
2x2GB of OCZ Platinum RAM PC2-8500 (running @1066mhz)(stock timings are 5-5-5-15, stock voltage is 2.2v, but i currently have it at 5-5-4-14 and 2.28v)
    EP45-UD3L Motherboard Bios v.F8
    Enermax Liberty 500W Power Supply

Any other specs you guys want to know, just ask and i'll update this.

Also, i know you guys like to use this form for the BIOS so i'll fill it out with my current BIOS settings.

Istead of messing with tRAS and tRP I suggest to try and lower tRD(Static tread Value in BIOS) which will result with a greater memory performance.
I was able to boot and run windows with tRD 5 @ 333MHz FSB and DDR-1066 with 5-5-5-15 timings, not tested stability though.

2.2v is not realy "sock" voltage but performance voltage. OCZ has EVP(Extended Voltage Protection) for many of it's kits that allow a bit higher voltage without voiding warrenty, check the stiker on the memory or the package.

Hi Chike, i followed your advice and set my ram back to 5-5-5-15 but changed tRD to 5 and the voltage to 2.3v. Is this too little or too much voltage? Everything seems to be running stable, but i'll run some tests just to make sure.

Too much I think, can't tell if you are voiding your warrenty without the model/part number.
Useually less than manufacturer test voltage can still be stable.

Memory performance should be around those in the image

The sticker on the ram says "5-5-5-15@2.2v" so should i just keep it at 2.2?

Yes, should be a need for more, and may get away with less 2.16-2.18v. Check BIOS PC Health Status, or EasyTune HWMonitor tab for actual applied voltage.
    What is the exact model?

I ran MaxxMem and this is what i got:

These are the settings i'm using:

What can i do to make the copy/write speeds faster like in the picture you posted?

Edit: Also, the ram model is OCZ2P10664GK

Can you post a screen capture of MemSet main(click >>) and SPD (click spd) windows?
All my advanced settings for the image I posted were auto. Your tRFC is even lower and read/latency better, weird.

see what cpu ref you can get away with even if u have to reduce the cpu multiplier. As long as the cpu speed doesnt go down.
This is 490 cpu ref 5-5-5-15 tRd 9, 980mhz memspeed.
500 cpu ref is a bit better ,but i just put this in as an indication that high fsb will get u towards the chipset maximum usual bandwidth of 9-10gb/s.
