yeah i'd normally agree, however having spent 270 + Shipping on the board, I expect everything to work on it.

i know it's a lot of hassle, but if at the end of it this helps GBT improve the product then it benefits everyone.

the rear jacks work fine and as expected...

ac97 and intel hda audio wise are pretty much the same quality wise, the HDA is basically an extension to AC97 and supports the HD stuff like blu-ray etc better and things like dolby headphones etc

I know what you mean for sure. I just wouldn't personally be sending it off multiple times over something like that, but I really don't care about those items like you may so I do understand.

Nice to see the rear ones work ok at least. You have tried other headphones right? Just thinking of other things that could be to blame possibly.

So are you sending it in again then?

yep DHL collected this lunchtime so it's in-flight.

tried 4 different sets of headphones, the setup all worked fine as-is with my UD5... just so pissed that i screwed that board up when removing it to be sent back for repair :(

Did you ask Gigabyte to fix and charge you instead of having to buy a whole new one? Sorry I forget but I do remember when it happened.

I would, you have nothing to loose. Sometimes they will do it for $60-80
