    Gigabyte's response to me:
"We did try to test the front panel audio as you have mentioned, and we found no problem with this motherboard, maybe itís the problem with your front panel, so please try to get a replacement and see if you can duplicate the problem, thank you"

Hmm, do you have any other cases around the house to test with? Maybe old ones or brother/sisters PC :)

If not try to ask your friends, as it really might be the case panel or wiring, I have seen it a few times here in the past.

I don't have an extra case handy, gonna try to see if I can get hold of one.
I also contacted CoolerMaster to see if I can get them to send me a new front panel header.
They don't have a phone number listed and I haven't seen an email reply back yet.

The update worked for me, I no longer have that annoying issue where the popup keeps constantly popping up. Don't know why its not working for some of you guys, and I'm also using a Coolermaster case myself, I have the HAF 932. Maybe you guys should reinstall Windows and apply the updated driver again?

    Hi All,

Well my board was received by the supplier this morning and tested in a non-Coolermaster case and the fault was once again verified and validated.

Once my UD7 finds itself once again on it's way back to the mothership... well of sorts :)....

Wonder what will happen this time... closing scene to Batman:
    - Will they return the board once again in a broken state
    - Maybe the dynamic duo will find a way to fix it
    - Or will Alfred find one hiding in the cupboard all fresh and sealed and save the day

    Find out next time on....

    Sorry for that interlude... LOL..

How odd, what panel/case did they test with?

Well hope they send you a new board, only opened and tested working first this time.

I've asked OCUK if they'll be kind enough to tell what cases they tested with.
