    Default e8400 vcore/fsb problem.

    This is my first post so hello.
    My problem is that about 3 months ago i could easily oc my e8400 to 3,6ghz on 1,30vcore. Now i barely can keep it stable on 3,15ghz with 1,365vcore.
    And defaults settings doesn't change a thing.
    If i lower the vcore i would get bsod (0x0..00124) mostly while starting windows. The temps are mostly nonstressed ~35 and ~60 stressed ( don't last long in prime95).

    My specs are:
    e8400 E0 @3,15 with 1,36 vcore.
    ocz 2x2gb 1066 heatpipe cl5 ( on default timings )
    gigabyte ep45-ds3r
    gtx280 evga
    bequiet 700w

    Can you post a screen capture of EasyTune -> Tuner -> Advanced -> Voltage tab for those settings?

    Yup, but now i have changed settings but sure. Those are current settings i'm running for 100% stability. I'd just love to have ability to get stable x9 [3,6ghz].

    MCH Reference may need to be changed.
    MCH & CPU Reference should be changed when VTT(CPU Termination) is set to default 1.2v than restore VTT. Default value for bot is 0.76 @ 1.2v VTT.
    In case you need to change either of them follow these steps:
    1. Set VTT to 1.2v
    2. Set MCH or CPU Reference to it's desired value.
    3. Set VTT to it's original value.

    If the above settings are not stable, try 0.74 and 0.72 for MCH Reference following the above procedure.

    You can add a comment for reference value at 1.2v VTT e.g.

    When Prime96 fail it's important what FFT size caused the failure.

    Setting Robust Graphics Booster to Turbo will overclock the GPU core and memory by 10% and 5% respectively. If the GPU can't handle the overclock, it could lead to instability.

    I did exact setting you told me, and i also changed Reboost to Fast, and yup windows started but 30 seconds in prime in large fft gave me bsod, and after the restart it bsod while logging.
    Now i'm running these settings but with x7 multiplier.
    Also i don't have:

    I have just profile2.
    I set mch core to 1,22 and cpu termination also 1,22.

    Offtopic: What the hell is the answer for the "What is this font color?" question? I tried grey but it seems different :P

    I tried to run with another ram on stock bios settings and still i got bsod, so it's not caused by the ram.

    Try more MCH Core 1.24-1.26.
    EPP profile shows you need 2.2v for DDR-1066, so at least for now set it 2.18-2.2v untill things get stable.
    Try VTT 1,24v.
    Set CPU PLL one step higher and see if it helps.

    I did that, and i was able to boot the system but 2 seconds of prime gave me bsod.
    Multiplier on 7x -> 3200mhz. I assume it's not ram fault cause today i replaced it with another and it was still unstable with stock settings in bios. (as with my normal ram)

    Multiplier x7 is 2800MHz (assuming 400MHz FSB).
    What is BSOD error?
    Please repost full settings.
