Question Enable DMA for CD/DVD drives on GA EP45-UD3P?

Is there a selection somewhere in the BIOS for enabling DMA?
    I have 2 rather old drives...Optiarc DVD+-RW 5170S and TSST CDRWDVD TS-H493B
I just put this machine together and am noticing a lot of errors trying to burn a DVD (which I do quite a bit)
Although they're older I had no issues on the previous system 3 days ago.
Can't seem to find proper 'drivers' or firmware that I can install in Win7 64bit.
After looking at the Properties for the drives in Device Manager, there are NO options under IDE/ATA/ATAPI contollers. I'm running in AHCI mode.
    Any thoughts on this one?

    Thanks folks!

The place to enable DMA is in the Device manager in IDE ATA/ATAPI controller, under ATA Channel 0, Properties , Advanced Settings.

It is usually enabled by default.
