    Default GA-X58A-UD5 & i7 930 @ 4.41GHz Memory Help

Okay after about 2 years I'm back and upgraded from previous processor to the new i7 930. Currently I am stable at 4.41GHz (prime tested over 16hrs). Now the problem that I"m stuck at is regarding memory for this board (GA-X58A-UD5), I'm using as of now G. Skill F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL (DDR3 1600 2048 X2 CL 9-9-9-24 @1.5V). Can someone tell me other timings I can try with this memory to get better performance?

    (Bios settings listed Below)

Any help would be greatly appreciated there are many many other settings in bios mainly regarding memory. I'm not to sure about what to change when it comes to this. Any suggestions regarding timings or voltages would be great . My current temps idle are 36c @ full load 65c.

    Hi,
As far as memory timings are concerned, that's easy. The lower, the better (i.e. 8-8-8-21)
The voltage is fine. But, you can pump it up to 1,65v with those GSkill

    Hope this helps

Thank for posting your bios settings... Makes setting up my system easier except I have the F3-16000CL9T-6GBTD sticks. Should end up with about the same results. Still installing Windows at atm.

You can also try to set the Command Rate to 1, but whatever changes you make, even if you get your RAM down to 7-7-7-20 the performance difference is so small you'll only notice it in benchmarks.

Also, great temps for 4.41Ghz! Are you on water?

    Hi

Still on air cooling but I will tell you that this chip loves to be overclocked right now I'm trying to push 4.6GHz and so far temps are GREAT highest I have got on temps prime testing was 74c. also for someone I have been reading online about everyone elses voltage I'm still below 1.40000v still for 4.6v. I'm starting to think I got a GEM :)

I used Shauntx's original setting that "was' posted right after putting the system together and it booted and ran without any problems. I have bumped a couple setting here and there trying to get a feel for it but overall those were a very good reference point. So I've been running stable at 4.41 prime. I've booted at 4.62 but crashed after windows loaded.

I'm just not sure how far is to far as far as voltage for the CPU and other setting on the board. Sure I'm on water and I see people posting about bumping there 930 up in the 1.5v range which I'm not sure I'm ready to try just yet until I see it becoming the norm. So until then I'm more then happy with my current speed. :)

DO you guys need those settings undeleted? I am not sure why he deleted them, but I can put them back if you like as I see nothing in his deleted post that would offend him if I did so.
