    I reduce the clock to 435x8. with VTT of 1.48V the BSOD 0x0124 is still there (crash after 2 minutes). When I increase VTT to 1.50V it's running the Prime95 + 3DS Max rendering for more than 10 minutes now. So I think my CPU cannot handle 440x8 :P. It's alright.

    However, I think VTT 1.50V is still a bit high. If this setting can run prime95 for an hour, do you think I should try to lower it a bit?

    My current voltages are mostly the minimum now. Reducing any of them will result into a BSOD, prime 95 error or cannot POST. So I think I'll start the blend test now and if It can run for 12 hours, I'll try to tight the timings. However, I have a little concern for the high VTT 1.50V, do you think there is any way I can reduce it? Will it be safe for 24/7 use? I personally never go pass VTT 1.48V myself.. so I don't really know. I wonder if fine tuning the CPU Ref will allow me to reduce the VTT, or it's not worth to spend too much time on it.

    About the RAM tightening process. Should I really need to test it using memtest86+ or prim95 Large FFT is enough?
    Should I start by tightening the Standard Timing Control first, or Advanced Timing Control first?
    I'm thinking of tweaking in this order:
    CAS -> tRCD -> tRP -> tRAS
    tRRD - > tWTR -> tTR -> tRFC -> tRTP
    Reduce DRAM voltage

    Vtt can be higher than you are used to seeing mentioned, most people are using 45nm CPU now which they want to keep under 1.45-1.5, 64nm CPU can safely use 1.5-1.6+ when needed. But using this amount is all up to you, as the optimal setting for Vtt should be kept under Vcore, so you may need to clock down a bit lower or risk shortening the lifespan of your CPU (you will likely buy a new one LONG before it dies though so no issue really)

    How you test it up to you, if you do not want to run long memtest sessions then just run a hour or so at test #2, then hour or so #5, then hour or so #7. If that passes fine then move on to other tests as your memory settings are likely fine then.

    You may not be able to do anything with your current main timings, but by all means go ahead and try. You may be able to get 455-15/12 or 544-12/15 or 554-12/15 but if you start and do not get anything working don't worry because with 8GB it is fairly hard to get good timings at higher speeds.

    So how long is the normal life span of a CPU? And by overclocking this much, how many percents of the life span will be left?

    I'm planning to buy a completely new rig in the next 2 years, and then pass this computer to my sister, who probably doesn't need to overclock it because her main use is.. Facebook (). Do you think my computer can survive it for 3 years?

    Bad news: even though I reduced my clock to 435x8 and increased VTT to 1.50V, it still crashes after 5 hours of prime95 FFT with a 0x0124 error again.

    Good news: I changed my CPU ref to 0.7415 (of VTT = 1.2V) then set VTT back to 1.50V and it runs Prime95 for also 17 hours!! I think I'm having a stable clock now. Do you think I should try to lower my VTT to 1.48V and tweak the CPU Ref?

    I'm gonna tighten my timings and test it with memtest86+ now. (Or should I do an Intel Burning Test first, before tightening my timings?)

    Another bad news: I checked my CoreTemp log, and during the noon, when the ambient temperature is about 28 degree Celcius, my max CPU temperature is 70. Is it too high?

    That was the max temperature when I ran the small FFT test for 18 hours. During noon, my room temperature can be as high as 28 degree celcius. I haven't run the large FFT for really long yet.

    I'm memtesting 544-12 and so far everything is good

    Yes pretty high temps, nothing to worry about though. Running IBT may be a problem.
    What is the HS fans aiflow spec?

    It's 110 CPM I think. Fortunately all of the fans on my case except the ones on the CPU are running at low. If I set all of them high I can get 62c on 26c ambient. I just.. don't like the noise. So when I run IBT, I should set all of the fan on high right?

    Yes, find cooler temps to run it at least the first time, temps might get 10-15c higher than Prime95.
